| 1986 CJ7 Wrangler
how goes it. i'm searchin the world for the right wrangler. found this CJ7 with 61k and a good price. almost too good. it looks perfect. just wondering from your experience if these kind of deals are worth it.
it doesn't have aggressive tires so maybe it wasn't ever takin to the trails.

Price, pictures, condition, location or at least region of the country would all help. 1986 would be a CJ7 not a Wrangler.

look for any type of rust on the frame, especially around the springs. Besides that make sure it runs smoothly..... anything you would do with a regular used car

Assuming good shape and relatively little rust, that's a decent price, at least out here in Colorado. Not a great price, but a decent one.
Test drive it before you fall in love.
CJ's are not civilized vehicles. It will be loud, bumpy and uncomfortable. The steering will be loose. Scary loose if you're used to nice sporty cars. The defroster will barely work. The seat won't move back far enough. The headlights will be dim. On and on.
I own two CJs. I really like CJs. So keep that in mind when I say this:
Wranglers got a LOT more civilized in 1997.

Wranglers got a LOT more civilized in 1997. | those are all great points. i love my cj and would not trade it for anything in the world, but i knew about the cj's little nuances before i got one. the steering thing is especially true. definitely take it on a test drive before you buy it. cj's and wranglers should not be impulse buys.
