A well-used CJ5 that's seen service as a plow truck in the not-so-friendly climate of Vermont?
It may not be worth a whole lot. I'd spend some time on Craigslist to get a good value.
If it still has the plow, it's worth more.
Restoring it? "restoration" covers so much ground. You could remove the top and doors, add a bikini top, do a bit of welding on that body tub. Paint it with rattle cans, and call it a day. That might be enough to keep you happy. A full restoration will hurt you financially in ways you've never imagined.
Here's a trick to search craigslist everywhere: go to google, and search for this:
site:craigslist.org 68 cj
That'll get you results for all the craigslists in the country.

I should also add that old school CJs are cool. There's something honest about them - every part is designed for a work purpose. There's no attempt at making it pretty or civilized. No computer chips. No plastic.
There's nothing "extra" or "optional" on them at all. It's the most iconic American car.
And also, no real heat. No safety features. No real defroster. No speed. No easy handling. No stereo.
They aren't the best when it's your only vehicle, or when you drive it every day.
I own a 1960 CJ5. 100% stock. I love it. But I don't drive it that much.

yeah, thanks for the info.
I tried craigslist and some guys gave me a 600 dollar offer!
So I ditched that.
As for the plow frame, I don't think it has ever been used lol. I drove it durring the winter around my yard twice.
I love keeping Jeeps stock espically the old ones.
We had a 62 Cj2A Willy's that we fixed. It was nice but had engine problems.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah, its had its better days but it still has plenty of life left in it.
As far as restoring goes: I wasn't going to do a total one. More of fix what needs to be fixed and make it pretty.
What I plan:
Mirrors
Soft Top (Bestop Tiger Top once it goes on sale again or maybe a second hand)
Taillights
Take off the plow frame
Try to get a heater rigged up
Install a radio
New hood clamp things (Forget the name)
A lock for the hood
Due a tune up
Rear tires
Seats? Somewhere down the line
Put a spare tire on the passenger side to cover those holes up
New rims
Fix the back and put diamond plate around em
Fix the breaks
New emergency brake cable
Back up lights
Jerry can?
Tow hooks
Maybe some KC lighting flair
Front bumper
PAINT!
Shocks
Fix the break in the circut for the break lights
Those are my plans for it. I also have a outlet for a trailer that has never been used. For paint, instead of rattle cans we have about 20 paint guns that I could use and plenty of paint to pick from. I like the original color.
Half of the stuff I listed is low in price but will add up fast but that is what a birthday and christmas wish is for! lol I was thinking drive this to school a few times in the summer. Two of my teachers have old Willys Jeeps that they fixed up. Ones red with a soft top, the other is black with a bikini top. Then most of them have the new crew cab Wranglers or rubicons.
Any paint suggestions?

Take pictures. Share. Have fun.
And while I totally agree with putting a new Tigertop at the top of the list , maybe you should move "fix the brakes" a bit further up. You're going to get tempted to drive this soon.
Seriously - I'd like to see photos as you go.

Yeah lol.
The brakes work fine after you pump them about 5 times when you are sitting at the first startup then after that, they work fine. I think it is because it has been sitting a lot in the driveway. But the pads are brand new.
