EVERYONE knows that it's a classic blunder to get a late model burgundy CJ.
If you even have to ask why, you're in terrible trouble.
You should not drive this. You should park it carefully (don't even start it - just push it). Then you should contact me. I run a small company (Cheap Evil Jeep Removal, Inc) that will safely remove it from your property. We have all the proper equipment and safety training to handle this task.
I know this sounds bad, but don't panic: there is a SMALL residual value in the Jeep. Heck, with luck, you may even come out of this with a little pocket money.
Contact me immediately. Oh, and don't listen to anyone who tells you this is valuable. They are just nuts.

JGano is certifiably insane (he lives in New Jersey!).
You should picture your CJ romping free in our Colorado meadow. With other CJ friends. |

First off let me say that I'll be lucky if I can even get to drive it after my girl learns to drive a stick... lol This will be a fun project though.
Its a '76 CJ-7 if you hadn't figured it out already, it has the 4.2 I6 rebuild by her dad. Rino spray inside and out along with on the hard top. the interior is in fantastic shape. NO RUST anywhere I can see (and I looked everywhere). SYE Kit and DS already installed. runnin 31X10.50X15 AT tires right now but came with a set of studded 31X10.50X15 wildcat tires on another set of wheels.
Has an optima deep cycle battery that we will probably give to my dad for his boat and get a red top to replace that. I'm lookin at getting her a 3" lift from Black Diamond since I have a friend who works for Warn and can hopefully can get me one for cheap.
need to find a winch controller for the SuperWinch OX on the front bumper, seems the step mom (vindictive B!*@#) took it from the jeep before we could get it.
Any other Ideas for this thing? I've never worked on a CJ before and look forward to getting my hands dirty when my girl lets me. since the passing of her father and the way he passed it might be awhile before mods start. but no hurt in getting Ideas right?
Second here are the responses she told me to write... Quote:

It's a good looking CJ. You and your girlfriend should have plenty of fun - you can both drive your own rig now. Post pictures! I'm from Oregon and I miss it.
JGano - I'll try and remember on the gender thing. If I had known your name was Jess...no, actually that might not have helped...).

oh I'm sure it will be, I think the main issue is going to be who gets the garage time first! lol double car garage but still not big enough for both jeeps and the V Star...
I think one of the first things I'm going to do is get all the fluids changed.
She wants a soft top for it so she can store the hard one, anybody got a cheap used or new black soft top with hardware sitting around that they want to get rid of?
What part of Oregon GEOFF?

Eugene-Springfield. But also some time in Gresham, Portland and Vancouver. Plus lots of years in Seattle. So basically, I'm still drying out.

Hey Fox this is pretty much the best (in my opinion) upgrade you can do for this lil puppy. Teamrush upgrade. Junk Yard Genius.com Table Of Contents

thanks for the site KNJ. you said teamrush upgrade, are you talking about the battery/starter solenoid upgrade idea? you did it to yours? how much work is involved in that? it said that the system doesn't allow for the charging of the second battery though...
