new project

well i traded this
[IMG][/IMG]

for this
[IMG][/IMG]

and some out of pocket change

Not really the Tj now belongs to the wifey and that 76 Cj-5 is now my new toy well was a CJ-5 but was cut off behind seat for the two seat look, Stock 304 w/header and pipes all the way back and exiting through dual cheerybomb mufflers ( love that V8 rumble). Wide trac frond 30 w/cromo mollies (sp?), rear is 20 w/one piece cromos welded and fully trussed, full cage tied into frame, Custom dash gauges. have lots to do but does do pretty good as is ( tried it out behind shop). does have stock 304 with that darn old prestolite distributor but the TEAMRUSH upgrade is on the way as well as the TBI replacement (jgano23 will tell how well this upgrade will be). also in plan are probably 60's front and rear and step up to bigger tires maybe 37's, Have 35" super swampers now. posted this in general but thought it should be in the CJ section seeing as how it is a CJ.

what's the wheelbase on it?

Looks like a pretty good start to a nice crawler. If you go with 60's though you are going to want to go with bigger tires than 37's.

I like what I see so far.

wheel base has been stretched to 98, As far as tire size we'll see when the D60's are on that will be a while. I was talking to James (who I bought it from) and he kept mentioning his shop partner and the 4 seater buggy being built in their shop Which was awsome. Well yesterday I found out who this was and help on the Jeep I bought......

Ok changed the Presto-crap over to the Duraspark/Motorcraft as well as the TEAMRUSH upgrade. While I was at it converted to the HEI module. starts and runs Ok, But something just ain't right so if I can get a picture of another 76 model with the convert with and w/out the dist cap also at TDC on full compression to double check location of the # 1 plug wires location I would appreciate it.
