I have a 79 cj7 quadratrack. I dont know much about this but I will try to describe it as good as I can.

no title, body almost all gone except tub, hood inner fenders,dash etc. basically just the back is gone I did this planning to build a buggy. I have two of everything

2-AMC 304 v8's (The one in it runs I was told the other one did) Igot them from diff. people.
2-automatic trannys
2-T-cases one good one needs a chain or something rear diff. works front doesnt.
4- axles 2front, 2rear idont know dana sz.(factory)353gears
2-rear driveshafts
1-front driveshaft

trying to figgure out if I should build a woods buggy or sell it and put money in my 94

what do you think its worth? I know some of those parts can be hard to come by.

and dont worry about hurting my feelings I dont have much in it.

if its gonna be a ton of work then just sell it and put some money into the YJ...money to the YJ would be awesome if its gonna take forever to build it up...but post photos if you can

Part it out you will get more money out of it that way it just might take a little longer.

I agree with Nick, part it out and put the money into the 94'. The quadratrac stuff is hard to come by but is also not sought after. That was a poor driveline design. You will waste your money trying to put something together for the woods than just selling it off.

If the rear axles have offset pumpkins, they are quadratrac as well. Either way, they are most likely dana 20's (smooth diff cover). The fronts should be dana 30's. As far as value, stock jeep axles are a dime a dozen but do still carry some value. Check on ebay and you local papers for prices to give you an idea where to start. If the rears have 1 piece axles (axle is even with the drum) you could get between $200 and $300 depending on condition if they are widetracks. Narrow tracks will not bring as much.

Dana 20 transfer cases are pretty cheap because most people that have to replace one will go to a 300. 300 cases are anywhere from $100 to $300 depending on condition.

The 304's would be considered buildable cores unless someone could physically here it run. You should be able to around $100 for a core.

If the frame is solid on the jeep, you should be able to get a few hundred bucks for it as well. It would be alot more (obviously) if you had a title.

If it were me, I would figure up how much you have in all that stuff, put a figure on it that you can live with and still make a little money, and sell it as a package deal. It will be alot less headaches this way. Good Luck
