As said above, that the OP has a Sport is no indication it has a Dana 44 or a Dana 35c... the Dana 44 was an option, not a standard thing. The only two models of Wranglers that always come standard with a Dana 44 is the Unlimited and Rubicon.
The first axle is a Dana 35c, it has the oval cover. The second axle with the stopsign-shaped cover is a Dana 44.
