i'm a newb looking into buying a new wrangler. i've been scouring the web looking for a way to help me distinguish the difference between all the different versions of the wrangler models. also to look into any issues certain models and certain years were having.

i attempted into trying to find some type of guide on here but were only able to find a couple of short post with links on them. i myself were able to find nice guide on ebay. i decided to consolidate the ones i found into this thread. i think it will help others into getting a head start and giving them a base to start off with it.

this goes thru the years starting with the yj all the way thru the jk in 2007 with an intro into when new models were released, recalls and any differences that came along with them. i wished it went furthur into the present with the jk models: Jeep Wrangler (YJ, TJ, JK) Buyers Guide | eBay

if there are anymore pls comment with links and a quick description and i'll edit the post.

I, myself are still looking and reading more but decided on a new jk since i prefer a warranty and don't feel like dealing with any mishaps when buying a used car.

I've asked the same question. I just bought my first Jeep and have been thinking ahead and wondering which model I may have liked more or maybe what my next Jeep model would be. It seems like that sort of information would be invaluable for perspective buyers with no experience or knowledge.
