Hey guys and gals. I just bought my first Jeep Wrangler so I am very new to the jeep world. I was wondering if yall could help me out. I bought a 2012 sport with 29K miles on it. It still has the power-train warranty on it but I would like to get the lifetime bumper to bumper if at all possible (or max-care might be what jeep calls it). My local jeep place told me I couldnt get it because the factory one has already expired. Is this true? If it is even possible to get it would yall recommend it? I want to keep the jeep till it dies that's why the lifetime looks like a win to me. If you could just point me in a good direction or give me some options that yall have already been through yourself. Thanks for the help.

First, welcome to the wonderful world of Jeeping and to this forum. You've come to the right place. I just purchased the lifetime warranty in March. From my understanding, Warranty can be purchased anytime up to 48,000 miles on the odometer. It Doesn't matter if you are first owner, or second. Second, there are a couple of folks on the forum who work for FCA dealerships and can offer the LTW for a good price. It really depends on if you plan on doing some serious modding, as it could void the warranty, or at the very least, give a dealership a reason NOT to cover a repair and blame the mod for the component failure. Mine is pretty much stock and I don't plan on adding 33-37 tires, or a 3-4 inch lift.

Google clay Robbins @ Zeller motors. He's the man. Got booted off here for selling warranties w/o following forum rules. If you can buy it he will know and get you the best price. Pm me if you need to ask more specifics
