yeah its pretty scary but I have also visited other cities like Minneapolis Minnesota and Austin Texas I haven't really been there that long but enough to to miss home, I don't think I'll leave I mean I am a huge Bears and White Sox Fan and I do attend the games one must just be careful about the crazy kids out there. I guess I'll leave if I get a job offer somewhere else and the pay is better.

Keep in mind in many other places the price of living there is way lower then chicagos also.. I personally would like to go into north california or somewhere there.. not too hot not too warm and dry.. In here the other day was 70 degrees with like 85-90% huminity.. it feels like you are in a pool

here in Dayton, OH, I would say that more than half of the Jeepers wave. Those who don't are usually mall rated chics, whom, I suspect, do not know about the wave.

I also find that I am more compelled to wave in the summer when my top is off. The top of the jeep, that is.

Somtimes I don't notice until it's too late and then I wave but no one sees me and then I feel bad.

I try to wave at the Jeeps, and I feel bad when I miss one. But maybe that horn that I have that says, "Wave you stupid MOFO!"*** nice and loud has something to do with it.

Modified CJ's and Wranglers tend to respond more than Cherokees, Grands, and Libertys.

***This is not a real horn. Had it been an actual horn, I would probably be a squashed mofo on the side of the road somewhere.

I blink with my heads usually if its not that bright since you can see the headlights better (if you are in front of me) compared to a wave with the glare of the window.

The Arizona contingent, and southwest Jeepers in general, seem to have missed the most important aftermarket mod of all - Cactus-spine scratches known as Arizona Pinstripes. These should be worth at least as much as mud, PLUS, they don't wash off!

Default Houston waves

Here it is hit or miss. I wave also at the Jeeps I see. In my neighborhood I was really surprised to see how many Jeeps there were. So it kind of surprises me that wave backs are maybe 3 out of 10. The further out of town the margin increases to 6-7 out of 10. I have yet to be the receiver of a wave. I may have missed it but so far I've not caught one. As for the ones who have waved back the majority are Jeeps that have some kind of mod. Nothing big but something. Like a set of KC's or Hella up front. It may be a small light bar over the windshield. Sometimes nothing more than than 31 inch mud terrains. JK's may wave back in other places but I've not seen it here. I know they've seen me because they look at me like I've just been realesed from the nuthut. All this from a smile and a wave. Then again this is Houston.

Well you guys answered a bunch of my questions as to why ppl wave at me. I always return the wave. But if someone followed me to a gas station, I'm always packing, so watch out. LOL that's not normal... I don't think.

Yes it is normal and you should be used to it as a biker.

BTW, if you get into modding your ride then expect to be followed and checked out, Jeepers love to check out other Jeepers mods.
