Help!!!!!!

I really need to get this spring out of my accelerator to see if it can help my pain. I raised the floor to get my foot in better position and it helped! Does anyone know of a shop that can do this for me or teach me? I pay in cash, beer, pizza!! I called my Jeep dealer and they will not do because of liability. I love in Fox River Grove but will travel.

I either need a shop that can do what I need and give me advice or I need a mentor that can teach me how to so this?

Is your issue with the amount of pressure needed to apply gas or the angle of foot/ankle?
I read somewhere about putting washers under bolts for pedal to change angle.

Read post 10.Sounds easy enough.I cant say how true it is.
Post 22 gives step by step involved.
A picture on post 46,48 and 51.
Is it somethng you could try on your own?

double thanks!!! I don't know why I am so hesitant to do it myself. My hubby looked at it a week ago and said it looked too difficult to do and we should hire but maybe I will try myself!!

I maybe wouldnt mess with the return springs, the scariest thing is a throttle that wont return, like exiting the freeway. Might I suggest getting another throttle pedal (used of course) and lengthening the section below the pivot. That would increase the leverage you have over the springs making it easier to push but it will still return as designed. May have to space out the pedal assembly for clearance as mentioned already.
