Illinois Jeep Photo Tag.

Anybody like to play?

Here are the rules:

1. Drive your Jeep to the current tag and take a picture of your Jeep with the tag (landmark, sign, etc).
2. It has to be a new photo, nothing from your archive.
3. First person to post the tag gets to create the new tag.
4. It has to be somewhere recognizeable and easily accessible.
5. Let's keep this one in IL.

I'll post the first pic to get started. I took this one yesterday.

I love the idea but I don't go down south or up north like at all.
If this was Rhode Island this might work.

Keep it as local as you like. If you are from the area, You can take a pic at the Chester sign then another close by. I thought maybe somebody in the area would take a then post the next one down the road somewhere on a day trip. Then somebody in that area would do the same to just see where it went. I saw a ton of Jeeps in that area when we were down there. I got the idea from a motorcycle group in the Urbana area. They do it in the surrounding area.

I like the idea, but I am a little confused.
For instance, Crossbonesdennis, you took a pic but didn't tell us what the next tag is. The way I have seen this played is that the person posting the photo picks a new Tag.

Is it your idea that someone would post a picture of their Jeep with the Chester sign and a picture of their Jeep with another landmark like say the huge ketchup bottle in Collinsville. Then someone else posts a picture of their Jeep with the Ketchup bottle and another of their Jeep at the Chain of Rocks Bridge then so on and so on?

The way I see it is if you say "Take a pic of your Jeep with ___________" then we all try to be the first to submit. The challenge should be something that can be acquired within the state of Illinois, but not so specific some of us would have to travel 2 hours to get it. So instead of saying "Get a picture of your Jeep in front of the Lincoln Museum in Springfield", you might say "Get a picture of your Jeep with a water tower" and the first person to post a picture of their Jeep with a watertower gets to pick the next tag.

So far the only one of those I could pull off would be the lincoln museum. I go by there everyday this week. Though never in the jeep

You are correct in your understanding but we can do it however people would want to do it. The way I've seen it was like I said. The first person takes a pic at a location. The first person to find that location takes a pic to prove they were there then takes one at a location that they choose. I guess it works better with the motorcycle guys because they ride more.

So how about we change it to the way you said. I'll be a little specific on the first then it can go where ever the members take it.

So just like in my pic, take a pic of your Jeep in front of a sign of ANY town in IL that is the home of a famous person.

Chester is the home of Popeye.

The first person to get that pic gets to choose the next location theme.

I hope that makes sense.
