"Jeep fests"

I might find the answer if i dug around the il forum a little harder but I've read about little mini jeep fests where people get together, hang out, do some wheelin, camping, and what not in other states and was wondering if there is anything like that here in il?! I live in the south suburbs of Chicago and wouldn't mind doing something like that! Who knows could be fun!

what's up Mike

Just up the road from you in the 'Brook, and I'm down for something like that.
also, me and the folks over in the Indiana local (I used to live there so I watch that site also) have put together a Badlands trip over the weekend of June 11. I told 'em that a few Illini might be interested and they said "more the merrier" so if anyone wants to go let me know and I'll let the organizers of the other group know.

Yup I'm in the far west burbs. I'm always down for having more people come out to the cliffs with us. I still need to finally get out to the badlands too

We usually hit the Cliffs Insane Terrain about once a month in the summer. We usually only have 2 Wranglers going. The more the merrier though!

Awesome. Sounds like this could be an exciting summer. How are the cliffs? Is that a more challenging park? I think I'd be more suitable for a nice mild trail. Nothing too intense just yet!

The cliffs has everything from some nice easy trails with great scenery to some really difficult trails that even my LJ on 37's has trouble with

The Cliffs has enough fun stuff for you to enjoy even in a stock Wrangler. If you go when it is wet, a stock Jeep won't get all the way around because the clay is like grease & a few hills are pretty steep.

On a dry day, it is also pretty fun. But it's best when its wet & sloppy!

Don't be freaked out by the videos on their site & on youtoob... they only show the most extreme stuff. And it does get pretty extreme out there (for dirt hills & mud bogs).
