We are signed up for Kessie's for March 28th. Anyone else going to join us? We reserved a spot, and are Jeep #7. Their Facebook event says they are have a limited number of openings.
The cost would be 35.00/jeep for open jeep trails 1pm to 6pm (eastern time)
KJF 101 only 30.00/jeep 10 am to 12 pm ( intro to jeeping/offroading)
Or both for 50.00 dollars!
As a newbie, I am trying to gain as much experience and go to as many events as possible...just one question...doesn't this sound way too crowded to be fun, instead might get rushed to get all through the course? I have no reference point for any trails yet, as my first offloading experience is coming up next Saturday, just what I am watching on youtube etc....wonder if its too many people to really enjoy the ride...may be too much pressure to get through....NO? Any insights would be appreciated.
I am pretty new too. But I've been out a few times. I have yet to meet any impatient jeepers. Everyone is there to have fun and help each other out. No pressure, just support.
Well, I have to say a definite may be to be finalized after my beginners trip to the cliffs this weekend. I think its going to be so exciting that its going be a whopping YES I am going to every offloading trip I can get to...but wife just wants to make sure kids would love it as much...I think they would but will confirm after cliffs...hopefully they still have room for us...if not next time!!!
Muscle-How did your kids enjoy it? How old are they? Haven't even been out myself yet, but like you my wife is concerned whether or not the kids would like it. Debating on whether to bring them with...or leave them home ( with a sitter of course)
How is the Cliffs for a newbie (Forum member 3 months, Jeep owner 1 month). Can a JKU Sahara run thru it stock( No lift)? I have never been off-road (on purpose), but looking forward to it
Supposedly OK. Same here, newbie, JKU sport, all others going this saturday are newbies or close to it...its beginners 101...courtesy of our friend wingit!!
I registered today for the 101 and open events. I will probably be staying Friday night but still have to make reservations. I feel like driving there in the morning would not be fun.
Ok we have maybe 3-4 people staying at the Hilton garden inn...locals said its in a good area and I don't feel like me soft-topped TJ getting f*cked with.
If you need a link, let me know!
Also check it the Friday night meet n greet..we'll me meeting some locals wheeling with us Saturday.
Ok folks, how many of you are staying at the hilton Friday night? I have a group deal negotiation in process where if we have at least 10 bookings, we will $15-$20 off the online rate. If you have already booked, you WOULD NOT need to re-book. Once I get the discount code tomorrow, just call the hotel and tell them to apply that code to your booking.
I am working on getting some more freebies, like a free breakfast etc. for all staying there too...whatever we save goes into the future mods piggy bank..hehe...
Will provide the discount code tomorrow once I have it.
we will get 10 easily as we spread the word a bit more
