Newby Questions

Hi all! We just got our first Jeep, it is a 2011 Unlimited Sahara. It came with a hard top, but I want a soft top for the summer. Is it possible to buy a soft top and install it easily? If it is possible, what should I be looking for and how much should I expect to pay?

there are several places to get an aftermarket soft top I would check craigslist first but if you want something new check out rampage and best top those are the 2 most popular personally I like best top. You can expect to spend 5 to 8 100 bucks for the new ones

I bought a used one on Craig's List for 300...much better than the cost of new

Keep an eye on ebay, craigslist and the for sale section of this and other Jeep forums.

A new soft top needs to be assembled (attaching the fabric to the frame) so installation will be more involved than buying a used factory soft top.

On the other hand, you need to make sure you get all the parts when you buy used. Some folks just don't remember to take the brackets off the roll bar when they sell the top.

Good luck.
