Cliffs is known for their mud. It is really driver testing trails for all levels. I am not an expert but not to Much of a newb and I have had a blast there countless times. Stocked and modded. I try and go as often as I can. Me and my group make out way out there every so often. I am a fan of the mudd but when its dry out the trails are dry and still a lot of fun. I only live bout 45 min from there so if anyone is ever going then shoot me a pm and I can see what my schedule is like. I'm always down to wheel and enjoy some new Jeep Comrads. Also thinking about going to their first manual Jeep thing. 3 or 4 days long and food camping trails mud and night runs for a hundred bucks.

Does anyone in the Lombard area have a flag I can borrow for the weekend? I'm going wheeling this weekend and just realized my flag is at my farm 150 miles away

This sounds like a real good time, I know they say they have novice trails, so this might be a stupid question, but seeing that my JKU is my daily driver and I haven't put on a lift or wheels yet, will I have any issues there or are there mild areas for a newb to learn?

Yes. Mild areas. Your Jeep was built for this stuff. Mine is my dd as well. And I have gone through some sketchy stuff... yet to break anything at cliffs. Just go through what you feel comfortable with and you wont have a problem.

For those of you that havn't been out to the Cliffs yet whether because you aren't sure about the layout or you are new to the sport, you need to come out for their Jeepfest July 13-15th. There will be plenty of guides to make sure you learn how/what your rigs are capable of. It's gonna be a great time and for those who havn't wheeled this will be a enjoyable first time out.

From "newbies" to seasoned wheelers there will be something for everyone. There will be 3 levels of wheeling for you to choose from. The trail guides are there to keep ya out of trouble and show you a good time.

did anyone else in the chicago area get caught in the sudden rain storm top off today? It was 105 degrees after work and sunny. Half way home it suddenly down poured and hailed on me. I only had my spiderweb shade on, brand new and first day all summer I took the top off, just my luck! I had to drive 10 minutes in this weather before I could pull over to put the soft top on for some cover. Needless to say the entire JKU interior was soaked but everything seems to have dried off nice and everything works. All I had for cover was my daughters little sweatshirt so I covered the Navi Radio. Hope no one else had to deal with this today!
