I'm from NW Chicago. I've just got my jeep and I'm planning to go to the Cliffs soon, but do you guys know if there is a better place around Chicago for a first off-road ride in a stock wrangler?

I'd appreciate any suggestions - Thanks!

cliffs or badlands only thing you got. You will have so much more fun at the badlands. It is about an hour farther but in my mind it is worth the extra hour on the road. Lets us know when you want to go and I can try and make it.

I want to go ASAP - this Saturday. I'd like to try on a green trail at the beginning, just to check what is my jeep capable of . If anyone wants to join me - it'd be great.

I dont get to drive them just build them.. LOL.. I own the local 4x4 fab shop so most of my time is spent fabricating and building while my Buggy sits out in the parking lot being neglected... Here are a few projects...

yep 2.5 yrs ago.. Now I need a larger shop. I just dont want to make that leap with the economy, although I have my eye on another 5624Sq ft unit. Just trying to figure out how to swing the rent... I may have to open up a bay and rent it to 4wd clubs.

That may not be a bad idea for the bay to be rentable. Makes working on things easier for guys like dave when you get old lol. Heck if you could move the cnc machines in the corner to make it more of a useful setup you would have a ton more space.

That would be tough to move the Mills and lathes further into the wall area.

Here is the aftermath and also the XJ Bumper Josh got to see on the table that I am working on finishing.

ON the flat bed coming in

In the shop for eval

Needless to say the Insurance Company totalled it.

Here's the new XJ rear, I still have to finish the mounts and add the D-ring brackets...

Yes we built that Jeep complete. Ford Excursion lost control on the highway and came across traffic backwards and pegged him in the left lane.

I want to go to the badlands soon. I do not have recovery points yet need to get on the ball. So far I have just wrapped straps around the tube bumpers to pull people out.

I have the Gibson too and love it, my brother got his used from craigslist but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Gibson Exhaust 9708, or you can try one of the sponsors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.
