I'm in (weather pending) and quite a few other members as well. DDO is a great group. You won't be disappointed!!

Side note regarding your tires that we discussed... I LOVE my Cooper STT's. Hope you get them. PM sent with dealer info.

I should be getting back my Jeep - with deer skin removed hopefully by then. The estimate on time is to get it back between Monday, 4/25 and Monday 5/2. So, I'll either have the Jeep back or I will just miss it.

Crikey, I think you would like the DDO guys. Great bunch of guys. I helped some of the guys up in Lake Zurich this past weekend lift another new member's Cherokee. It was a PITA but everyone seemed to enjoy helping out. I didn't stay until it was complete since it was my anniversary (so I had to be home by the time my wife got off work ).

As for the Cliffs, DDO is working on getting official membership cards. When we do, then we will always get a discount at the cliffs. I think we get $5 off admission, but that adds up when you go there as much as Stinky

I wonder If you go often enough if you can get your YJ in for free with the admission of your TJ?

I can't wait to see that one take the trails BTW. Hopefully you finish your review of the condition of everything soon.

Well, Stinky will probably want to have another trip on May 7th knowing that he now owns stock in the Cliffs

Right now Stinky pretty much plans our non-official runs (approximately every weekend ) but the next official run will be May 28-31 - up in North Michigan. They will be visiting 2 ORP - Rocks & Valleys and Twisted Trails - while camping in between. That one of course is not nearly as close (but it is over a holiday weekend). I'm sure Jeff will be doing a Cliff's run before that.

You bet!!!!!! I think my only real limitations are going to be

A. Severe angles because it's carbed (Holley)
B. U bolts for the axles are still in the southernly direction.
C. No winch (Yet)

Good point - now that you posted this - got me thinking if he meant for this thread or in regards to my post. Thanks for covering the bases

*UPDATE*

Looks like I'm officially OUT for this DDO run - I got the Jeep back, there are a few things they need to finish making right, but other than that, it's good. The problem is that Cliff's Mud is horribly sticky and messy, and since I can't wash the Jeep for a month, it would suck to have it covered with mud for that long. By the time I would be able to wash it, the mud would probably take all the paint off anyways.

Depending on my schedule, I'm trying to work it out for the Badlands trip in June. By then I should have all my additional accessories on the Jeep, and have it trail ready again.

Quit your whining. I've still got big chunks of the Cliffs all over the inside of my TJ from about a month ago. The outside is nice & clean but the inside, even the windshield... that's a different story! I don't know if it will EVER get clean again! And like a true "wheeler", I don't really care if it ever gets completely clean inside even though it is my DD.

Not whining at all - I'm bummed I can't go.

My motor still has it's Cliff's special protective coating and my interior floormats are trashed (not that I care) there is mud on the seats, steering wheel, radio (not sure exactly how that happened) and all of that is going to stay that way for a while - I'm too lazy to hit up the Vac at the car wash.

The body shop I dealt with are a PITA and I still have additional work I want them to fix first. If the Jeep is covered in mud, they will just claim that the damage wasn't part of the original estimate and that they already fixed the problem and that this is a new one. For the record, I'm never using this auto body shop again.
