Exclamation JK JEEP need help DW!!!

Hey guys,

i am/was so close to buying a brand spanking new 2012 jk Jeep.
But i have come across so many youtube vids and forums saying death wobbles ??? what is this all about sounds like jeep need to fix something on there line ! dnt want to spend nearly 47g" Australia" for a new faulty 4x4.

is this a poor maintenance by the people posting or is this an underlining issues with wranglers ?
please help as i LOVE wranglers always have and so close to buying a black 4 door+renegade package jeep..

as i have been told to stick clear of the rubicon model, as in Australia is 10g dear comes only in petrol, the low gears are just to low and gets you stuck in heavy mud and revs to high without really going anywhere and would be better just doing up a sport with after market parts that are stronger.

thats off topic though need help with this death wobble business!!!....

I am slowly comming to the conclusion that its from poor maintainence and cheep DIY upgrades not that accrual jeep . Any info I would appreciate mainly form ppl who have had this and know why .
Thanks again I really want one just bit worried after seeing all this . Just dont want to put my self or family indanger thats all , and the obvious dont want to have to repair a new car shouldn't have to really touch it besides from the services and inspections .

You don't need to worry. More worry If the jeep is modified.
99% of the time it's caused by loose or ovaled out Trackbar mounts/holes.

Always visually inspect all your suspension
and bolts after taking the jeep off road.

Some will replace TB/LCA bolts with bigger shouldered ones for peace of mind.
Synergy makes a kit, I think it's F911

Read Planmans sticky on DW. Great video too he posted.

Awesome thanks for the reply mate , it seems to be more the user abusing and not maintaining there ride thanks I am going to get one

Thats correct

This is the kit used to replace that bolt and the others.

You won't have any death wobble. Don't let a few posts scare you. My first Rubicon had a 4.5 lift, and had 50,000 miles when I sold it, no problems. My current 08 Rubicon has 44000 with no problems, and my 2012 drives perfect. No worries mate!

It's not just Jeeps that get it, it can be lots of different vehicles. Today I saw a Suzuki going down the road with it. A lot of the problems are with lifted trucks & vehicles, standard suspension is less likely to have a problem. This is a Jeep site so there is only going to be posts on Jeeps that have it so don't worry & just go for it! good luck & looking forward to seeing you post some pic's of your new ride

I agree 100%, go for it. Although the posts are a turnoff, I have spoken to many JK owners and got their feedback before finalising my order. I am now the proud owner of a JKU 2012. I just love the sound of the new Pentastar. I do not plan to lift the vehicle and is confident that stock standard it will be more capable than most other 4Bs. I also use it in my work, so would definitely prefer the more comfy ride.

Have fun, I know I will.

Hey guys, for some info on death wobbles, I just bought a 2010 CRD all stock with 8000kms. first trip out had a case to DW, took it to the dealer under warranty and they replaced the stabilizer bar that hooks to the diff. Didn't get a real answer from them but all good now ! Love the JKU!
