| Aggressive Look
With Christmas coming up, I'm attempting to beef my Jeep up some.
I'm 17 and I'm going off to college so this is my final year to suck some upgrades from the parents.
My Jeep isn't Stock, but it just dosen't have that Aggressive Look most of you TJ guys have!
I want to beef up the Look of my Jeep alittle. So Far:
- getting a 2" BL - yes i know you guys don't like them, but i want to get 4" of lift on this bad boy, and my father doesn't want to deal with altering the geometry and everything
- Rocker Guards - I think these will Increase the Aggressiveness ALOT.
- Banks Cat Back - My father wants to get a few HP, we are going to get a CAI along with some e3 Sparks to just make the overall engine alittle more efficient and get some Horses i know it will only be like 20.. but some is better than none. Pics:
Of coarse these photos are showing the jeep when it was clean!! I do carry some mud along with me so its not clean atm!
So what do you guys suggest to give it a more aggressive look and everything?
Please do not flame me, its a honest question and as dumb as it sounds you know you want your jeep it look effin' bad A too.

You want your jeep to look more aggressive? Stick a Scout on your hood.

What does that mean when I took the black wheels off?? Aggressive isn't everything. I don't think my current jeep looks aggressive. I'd rather it be nice looking. Well taken care of.
If you want aggressive looks you will need to get less backspacing on your wheels. Stick the tires out some and ditch the A/T's.

i saw the pictures with the black wheels off, stick looked awesome.
ill be getting some M/T's in Time, i might want some looks, but im not going to throw away good tires for nothing. The tires still have like 85% tread on them, once they wear down I'm all over the 33" KL71 MT's
Yeah i get where your coming from, well taken care of and everything, but i mean you can see from the pictures, its very well taken care of. Just its style isn't bold enough for me.
Getting the MT's, rocker guards and lift should help most defiantly. and maybe i can powder coat my rims.

Add a little lift to it. A 2" BL isn't the worst thing in the world although it isn't the best either. And yeah, I agree with the tires tucked under those fender wells. Lose the 6" flares and go back to stock or add some tube fenders, front and rear. You're in Texas, we don't have tire coverage laws here.

lmao
Sadly i don't have the stocks, the jeep came with the larger 6" flares.
tube fenders... never thought of doing that! hmm ill have to look into Arkansas's tire coverage laws because I'm going to college up there.

Take off your top and doors, that always beefs a Jeep up
(btw I have those pics if you still want them, I just wasn't sure how to send them in a pm)

I dont know if you realized but that link is for rear flares only...so they'll be more than $219.

a few guys on here have stock fenders to give away, im not included...
stock fenders will deff make the jeep look more aggressive, how about one of those hood scoop deals? they sit on the wiper bezel, im not sure what it does for you though, under that bezel there is no access to the engine compartment...

Just some thoughts:
You said a 2" bl, wanting 4" total lift, but you don't want to mess with the geometry. I thought 4" of total lift required altering the geometry? (Please correct/educate me if I'm wrong).
Flares: I like them. Yeah, less aggressive with the tires tucked, but more functional in that you won't be getting hit in the face with crap while wheeling doorless. Unless you're given some stockers for free, I'd use the money elsewhere.
Wheels: I like yours. However, black rims will look more aggressive. Your call (as all of this is). Might could just paint them.
Rockers: definitely. Dump the steps, get rockers with rails.
Suggestion: Paint the hardtop/flares/mirrors/window guides/signal guards with Krylon Fusion Satin Black. Bringing out the black (instead of khaki and faded black) will give it a more aggressive look without spending a lot of $$ IMHO. I like the khaki top, but the black will change the look of the Jeep immediately.
Again, just my .02!

Ight sounds good guys!
i think rockers w/ rails... 2" BL + whatever my father chooses to put under my hood at HIS expense... i was like "im not wasting my money on no stinkin' CAI" "put it in the camaro"... then he went on to tell me how the camaro didn't need it. even though he knows it would be cool sounding. lol
BLACK SOFT TOPPPP NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT. thanks man!

correct - i got 2" BB and the 2" BL shouldn't change my suspension geometry as far as i know.

Your Jeep looks perfect, tell your Dad to send a check to my address. My jeep is much more pathetic than yours. PM me and I'll give you the address!
Thanks

I agree with most of these guys said already, stock fender flares, black rims, black soft top. IMHO the 6" fender flares are way too much.

More rugged?
Loose the following:
shiny wheels
steps
flares
AT's
hard top
And throw on some:
Black wheels
rockers
flatty's
MT's
and yeah a black soft top or bikini would rock that thing out
Nice looking rig anyway

I removed my step bars and the little fender flare that mounts behind the front fender. I then painted the rockers. I think it makes the jeep look taller without using a lift. Instead of painting the rockers you could us a rocker cover.

| Update:
thanks everyone, yeah i love my jeep I just look at some of the extreme builds i see around town and get a little jealous i guess!
So yeah I've got my game Plan set in and everything, I'll hopefully have everything on by the third week of January! List is as follows: Xenon 4" Flat Panel Flare Kit : Xenon 9190 - Xenon 4" Flat Panel...ed - Quadratec: OR-FAB Rocker Panels with Bars
: OR-FAB 84201BB - OR-FAB Rocker Panels...TJ - Quadratec: Performance Accessories 2" Body Lift Kit
: Performance Accessories 972 - Perform...on - Quadratec:
I'm already in love with the jeep but after that i really think its going to look awesome. After my AT tires run down a bit I'm going to mount some Pro Comp Extreme MT tires on there. id love to jump from 33" to 35" but the problems i face are, idk if they would fit with only 4" of lift (2 bb +2BL+ flatfenders). and even if they did fit, I'm only on stock gearing (either 3.73 or 3.07's)
so yeah problems solved by new parts: Flares - untuck tires and show more sus (increasing the distance between tire and jeep) Guards - take off steps and look eff'n sweet Lift - ha its lift lol its always good

List looks good. However I do suggest looking at the same items at 4wd.com . They often have discounts plus free shipping available. With larger items like the flares, auards and lifts you can save quite a bit in shipping as well as the packing fees sites like Quadratec nail you with.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the pics was, paint the bezels black. I think that everything else was covered.
