Those look to healthy to be regular wild horses. People think there are wild horses here but its open range and we let them and cattle roam.

Yea, the ones I've seen in at the Outer Banks always look healthy...must be the seafood diet.

Well, they do look healthy. So did the little colt we saw. This herd of horses numbers about 150. Some of the lieage has been traced back to Indian ponies. Here's a link with info about the herd we found. Back in the day they said if you can catch it, you can keep it!!

I hear ya. There is so much open country here in the west esps.
We had a real wildlife treat going to Moab a couple weeks ago. About 15 miles south of interstate 70 while traveling on hiway 128, we had to hit the brakes due to 4 antelopes running in front of the jeep. 5 miles later we had to come to a complete stop. 16 wild turkeys waddled across the road.
20 miles later we spotted a nice herd of Bighorn Sheep. Two heavy horned rams. Got a good pic of them.
You're right though, we live in a wonderful Country. Hope the f$%^%*%^&n politicians don't screw it up. Actually, don't know why we hate the politicians, the majority was dumb enough to elect them.

Bla Bla Bla, Sorry
