Being faded was a good reason for repainting...

When its not offroad i like to keep it really clean

You can see in the pic it's really faded and ugly looking. Idk personally $30 bucks and an after noon isn't a bad trade off even for a minor improvement. Oh and Owen thanks alot for the info. If you used 3 cans I'll prob get 4 since I'm changing the color. Probably will have to go a little heavier. Oh and I agree with the clean part when not offroad.

Yeah, man...its cheap to do. The paint is only a little over 4 bucks a can so all in all it cost:

4 cans paint (just in case): 17 bucks
1 roll of painters tape: 4 bucks
2 rolls of 7mm poly drop cloth: 2 bucks

about 5 hours total with prep and drying time...

Huge improvement to me...

Also, i've already powerwashed it and there was zero chipping or damage done so i'm thinkin this stuff will hold up just fine. Then when i need to redo it in a year or so, another 25 bucks will be no problem haha.

Since you're doing a new color, i'd pick up 5 just in case...that way you'll for sure have enough.

When you doin it??? You'll of course have to post pics haha

True! I'm going to repaint my mirrors (scratched them up on my last offroad trip) as well as the window trim piece thingy if i can ever figure out how to remove it! Also repainted the gas cap and surround as well as the sway bar cover.

but yeah, my pleasure man...i'm sure it'll go fine when you get to it!

Yeah, man...i'm in a condo without a garage so i'm in the same boat. Luckily i've got a unique hardtop (2 piece) so i just remove the front portion, store it on the rear, and can go on my way...not the same as normal topless though!

I saw a ZJ chopped like that once it looked really sweet. I think it still had the doors on tho. But they adapted the rear portion of the TJ roll bar to fit in the open area where the trunk should be. It looked really sick! Only saw it that once tho. Hmm wonder what happened to it.

Well your spares white. But the rest look like steel. I painted mine black then saw a white pair and thought it was so sick looking.

A few cans of flat black spray and your Jeep will look totally different

Like the day I got it

About a week later

Ya, the original rim were white and rusted, so I found a set of grey steels with bigger tires and slapped em on, left the spare tho
