I painted top, dash, & door panels

I just got done putting everything back together and I couldn't be happier with how it all looks! I had to take a few pictures so I could show my new paint off. After taking the pictures I realized I should have taken some before pictures, but I'm sure everyone here knows what the tan top and dashboard looks like (I have a couple of pictures in my profile)

Anyway, I spent quite a bit of time cleaning, scuffing, then cleaning again. I painted everything with rattle cans, I think I used 4-5 cans on the top and 2 flat black 1 silver in the interior. All costing something like 40 bucks or so.

My next plan is to take out the tan carpet (I really don't like tan) and I'm gonna rhino line the floor.

I took this last picture after I put the doors on with my phone, so it's not very good...

Not bad at all! What made you go with the silver?

originally I wasn't going to touch those parts since they were already black, but when I had them off I figured I might as well do something with them. I thought I had some red paint laying around but couldn't find it and ended up finding some silver

Cool! That's why I asked, because a lot of people that had a red Jeep, would have went with red!

For hardtops, a lot of people go with Krylon Fusion Satin Black!

Thanks! I used krylon flat black on the top, and I can't remember the brand for the interior but I got it at Oriellys, it Was for dashboards, door panels, etc, I think it said "vinyl & fabric" real big on it. And it was also a flat black

Hey your Jeep looks awesome! I just wanted to say let me know how the rhino liner works out for you because I was looking at doing the same thing for mine!

It'll probably be alittle while before I get around to doing that. But I'll post something about it when I do

Looks awesome! Never would have thought about silver, but it does look good. I have a silver TJ, so now you are giving me ideas...

I painted my golfcart with parts of the dash silver, so I knew it wouldn't look terribly bad. I just about went to town to buy some red but figured I'd give the silver a chance. I'm glad I did!

I think it looks awesome. The red may have been overkill. Good decision.

One thing I've noticed is now I see the reflection of the silver speedometer cover in the windshield. I guess that's why they are usually black.

Just make sure everything is clean and keep track of where all the screws go. After I was done putting my dash back together, I had 3 extra screws

I highly recommend U-pol Raptor liner for lining the interior. I had mine done by a friend a couple of weeks ago and love, love, love it!

I did use a clear coat. I've used the silver before on plastic pieces for my golfcart and without clear coat it will scratch right off... I learned that the hard way
