My YJ is named Pete. Simple story, when I bought it, I asked my wife if we should name it, she said "Let's call it Pete", done. Now that being said, when my drivesahft decided to bend my tailshaft and rip the nose cone off my transfer case and leaked red ATF all over the white snow, my 4 year old daughter said "Oh no! your Jeep is hurt. I think its a girl, lets call her Jill."
Well i have not gave it much thought. Till now read all the great story's... so being said ...if you look at my Jeep it looks like something a redneck would drive.. and it says it on the back. And its red in color to boot. So i guess it's REDNECK
I hate my bank. Every time I go in there for a quick deposit they want to chat about EVERYTHING. "How's your day?" "What are you doing today?" "Do you want to refinance your mortgage?" etc... I hate that it takes 20 minutes to make a deposit that should take 2 minutes. I tell them "I don't want to chat, I just want to bank!" and it never makes a difference. When I went in to withdraw cash from my account to buy my Jeep the lady said "Wow... what are you buying?" like it was any of her business. I looked at her with a straight face and told her "Hookers and blow!" She looked at me for a second, and got kind of a worried look on her face, then she finished the transaction in silence.
I used to have a Mitsubishi endeavor that we named Lilly after Lilly from How I Met Your Mother. When she got totaled we were able to upgrade to my yellow TJ. We thought it was appropriate to name it a more manly name so we went with Marshall.
I named mine Pandora, for the Greek mythology story Pandora's Box. She's lived up to her name. AAA put me on notice that I had used too many tows, lol. She's been better since the engine rebuild though, but the first year I owned her, I rarely made it home without some sort of breakdown.
I like the movie The Jurk so I call mine Shit Head.

Ours is called Mello Yello. Kinda obvious that it is solar yellow and that was my favorite soft drink growing up. Also during high school and as a young adult getting mellow by...umm...uhh...well let's just say that we watched a bunch of Cheech & Chong movies while eating plenty of Jack-in-the-Box tacos. But those days are over with three kids, plenty of bills and randoms at work. Now, what were we talking about???
