not trying to be rude or start something, but trying to prevent it in the future. "hater" only has one "t". when you use the word "hater" it usually means you're fighting with someone, and misspelling it over and over will add ammo for the other guy to rip you a new one.

but, i too think a 3" BL is a horrible idea.

I think there's no reason to spell "think" as "thank" more than once and you posted pictures that didn't show how ridiculous the body looks lifted three inches from its frame. never mind talking about how unsafe it is, the only reason to get that large a body lift is because someone is too cheap/lazy to put the money/effort Ito their jeep. it's not a model car it takes the abuse of being driven. the reason lift kits are so expensive is because they are made of quality parts that can handle not only road wear, but the toll I offroad too. I think that you will be paying for this shortcut in the future. that being said, bet of luck to you

Disabled can be a number of things. I saw you standing with your shadow in one of those pictures. 3 inch body lifts are plain stupid. They can be the reason for making people disabled because of how unsafe they are. It's your choice, however, just like it's some people's choice to take vacations to Iraq. If you get hurt or end up in a money hole, I won't feel bad for you.

I think your picture is dark and doesnt show the huge gap between body and frame. I also think your picture doesnt show how dangerous your current setup is.

3 inch body lift and 33s. Drives great. Given I don't have the clearance that a sus lift gives. It does fine. I plan on changing it one day but for those of us that have bills this ain't a bad option. Na Sayers say na. I say do what u want.

you have to pay bills so instead of saving for a suspension lift the first time you paid for a BL and labor to have it installed and then will pay for a suspension lift and labor later on. now I understand

This thread has me intrigued... being a newb to the Jeep game, I didn't realize there was a difference between a body lift and a suspension lift until I saw all your comments and did a little googling. Can someone explain why one is so highly frowned upon while the other is a Jeepers dream mod?

Also, I'm not at all defending the BL, this is all completely new to me! Thanks!

Body lifts place extra stress on the mounts the taller the lift the more stress they eventually start to crack and rust before you know it your three inch body lift goes through your floor i have seen it happen to a Toyota that use to wheel with us completely broke free of the body when he flopped it on the side. It's just not safe Most people build there jeep for reliability I know I did and suspension lift is the only way to go. If you don't have the funds go with a one to two inch coil spacer Also not the best but it's safer.

If you don't have money to get a suspension lift just don't lift it at all. A 3'' BL will cost you more once you mess up your Jeep with it.

Lift was on it when I bought it and I dont pay to have anything done. I do it. And anyway 100 for a bl is way cheaper than 600-1000 for a sus lift.

Here I will throw mine in.

3" bodilift 0 suspension lift. Been on 33's for 10 years of the 13 I have owned it. Never had any issues.

I will however be removing it to go with a Zone 4.5 combo sometime soon....But even with that lift I will not be going any bigger than 33's.

I'm confused that you're talking about not spending money and consider $1000 suspension lifts. easiest three inches of lift is 2" BB and 1.25" BL. my total came to about $350 and it's safe, reliable, and great offroad. BTW no flex in the picture because it was a tiny ledge and haven't taken any good ones

3 inch body lifts are retarded. This is coming from someone who has a 3 inch BL. When I bought my jeep it had most everything I was looking for including a stack of receipts. The only thing I didn't like was that hideous 3 BL. Like stated above I think you are better off to get 2 in coil spacers and a 1.25 in BL. Here's a couple pics of the jeep.

Sure the jeep is a beast but the 3 in BL looks like crap and will be off the jeep sometime soon along with the TC drop.

Well said, and very sage advice. Compairing a 3" body lift and a $1000 suspension lift is apples and oranges.

Dude, I don't think anyone is here to bash you. Look at the pic AKYJ posted. Do you really think a 3 inch BL is good to have after seeing that?...I have a 3 inch BL and think it's a piss poor idea.

But why give your Jeep a more prone place to break at.

Maybe one day I'll be able to afford a good suspension lift but right now for $150 total my 3" bl & 2" bb will have to do.

We can all have opinions on how it looks: good or bad.

The fact is though the 3'' BL is bad for your Jeep. If you want to damage it and end up spending more money for taking the easy way out, be my guest. Don't cry when it happens though.
