kayak build

ok so these pics have nothing to do with jeeps, but this kayak will always hold a special place in my heart and i really wanted to share it with you all.

i built this a my senior project in high school, we were only required to spend 15 hours on our projects, but i put in well over 200 hours, with my dad's help of course.
it is a 16 footer, about 60 lbs, and made outta marine grade plywood and fiberglass and LOTS of epoxy.

enjoy

nice dude, cedar strip building looks a little too complicated for me, but they turn out beautiful!

i used a polyurethane based paint, cant remember the brand though. Interlux maybe???

Nice Man Same here Boat came out beautiful tho!! im 20 now and no one likes that kind of stuff were i am from nice to see that you can be creative and there are other people out there in this world! You could build a cedar stip if you can stitch and glue!!! give it a try!!! You will never fail if you put your mind to something and work hard enough at it.!

Wow, that's awesome!

Do you still have/use it or did you end up selling it?

oh i thought this was gonna be impossible at first, but it was an amazing build and i hope to make it a hobby sometime.

and sentenced,
i would never sell this kayak for a million dollars,
i took it out on the water once and it rode nice, but it scratched up the bottom a bit so i might just keep it on display.
but i am so proud of this kayak, i will never be as proud of my jeep as i am of this, never.
