I'm running stock Rubicon axles so Dana 44 front and rear with lockers and 4.10. I know this will work on the street but I wheel my Jeep some and I know that some say to upgrade to chromoly or rcv inners for 35s. What do you guy think. I know I will have to regear

The Rubi dana 44s have the same size knuckles as the dana 30s I would try to find a d44 front from another truck. the rubi d44s were a hy-brid axle and used some of the d30 parts too. By the time you get chromoly axle shafts you are going to be spending to much money for still having weak knuckles and u-joints, you should think about starting with a full size axle from another truck. find a d44 out of a chevy or ford to swap under and then you could do a custom suspension as well.

Dana 30 front- 4.11s. warn front lockout hubs/full locker. alloy axle shafts
Dana 35 rear -4.11s. limited slip/alloy axle shafts
4.0 i6. chipped
automatic tanny hooked to a teralow transfer (godsent transfer case for an auto)
Would like to take the gears to 4.56 or 4.88 but why spend the money when wanting to swap axles anyways..

It's hard to be exact the rear is a custom triangulated long but i guess all the stuff for the rear and shocks it was around 1 k. The front is getting the long arm treatment soon also. I did all the labor. It may have been a little less.

Let me ask all you this... Whats the top of your windshield height and whats your belly pan clearance? It would help me figure out what size lift I have.

Sorry, for some reason I read it as you wanting measurements to check clearance to fit in a garage. I didn't even see the bellypan clearance comment. LOL DJ
