Home defense? Rem 870 in 3 1/2" 12 gage with extended magazine.

In the woods it's usually this.

Not a big believer in condiment spray.

Newest one I picked up this weekend.

Glock 17 Gen4

Got it home and slapped on my Surefire X300 Ultra, then ordered new sights, trigger and mags.

nice collection. I have gotten spoiled by how easy they are to shoot. I have 3 a 22 gen 3, a 34 gen 4 and now this little 42. I love the 34 I see your dad has one or the 35 which I have spent a bunch of time behind too and they have to be the easiest guns to dial in there is.

Its actually a 1st gen 17lc.. If there's a such thing as a rare glock that is it. Imported in the first run in 88. There were very few compensated ones made and the factory ports were known for cracking. This one still has the original barrel in tact

How is this pistol in the .40? I love it in my Glock 23, but wasn't sure how the smaller Shield would feel with it.

i'll be honest, at first it took 50 rounds to dial it in. I couldn't hit the target at 20' with 180 grain. Pretty good recoil in .40, given the barrel length and caliber; however, like all weapons, practice makes perfect and I'm sure that in a self defense situation it will serve me well! Still amazed to have a .40 in such a convenient, comfortable and conceilable package.

Need to find some recoil pads for the old wood stocks, the new ones even if they are the right size, the holes don't line up. Either have to buy correct pads or drill new holes.
