Let's see your guns!

I wanted a home protection weapon and my Dad, who's a long-time gun collector, suggested a shotgun. But of course I wanted a pistol and he suggested a revolver. But of course I wanted a semi-auto so I he got me a Glock 19. I took it to the range and it was too big for my hand, I couldn't hit crap with it, it kept jamming and also throwing hot shells into my hair, plus it pinched the webbing between my thumb and forefinger and made me bleed. No likey. So now I have the one pictured below: A Makarov 9x18. A much better fit for me.

So what do you have, and why?

Don't like showing all my guns... Personal thing.... BUT for home defense go with a pump shotgun. Just the sound of a racking shotgun will stop 99% of attackers in their tracks. Plus you don't have to aim just point and shoot. Out of ammo? No worries. They double as a club.

I plan on building a 9mm sbr ar. Just need the time. Added it up and studdied the cost. Can be done for about the cost of a a normal ar. Think it will be a good home defense system. Will get a supressor for it down the line

That's EXACTLY what my dad said! And how about just a pic of your favorite one?

Well that is a little less than half, but photobucket is acting up, so I stop there.

Like Zed said, shotgun for home defense. (Remington 870) We're getting a Browning Hi-Power Mark III for fun. We had the pleasure of shooting a relative's and it's silky smooth!

Sound? Nah, my closed door is warning enough. You enter my home un-announced and un-welcome, the last thing you're going to hear is bang.

Anyone know of a good shooting rifle. Like I said I was looking into the Remington 700 but I'm not a hunter. I just want a good shooting rifle to have fun with.

Suggestions?

For fun I love the feel of lever action or bolt action rifles. For lever Marlin makes a gold standard in the 30-30
Accurate, fun, and consistent.

Savage .22 caliber. Inexpensive. Accurate and cheap to shoot.

Bought my wife a savage 17 HMR that she can plink with. Gives you all of the feel of a higher caliber rifle, detachable magazine, bolt action, super accurate, low cost and fun to shoot. I got her that to kind of teach her the basics of rifle handling, but something that will not kill her shoulder. They are also great varmint guns...
