Owen_tj and I

Today Owen and I went up mount baldy, then started some other trail. I think the name is wrap around the peak.... It circles pikes peak. Afterwards we played in some mud holes. Here are some of the pictures more will come shortly waiting on the camera man to upload them.

I would love to live out in that area. Kinda sucks that I just started a new job in South GA.

the trail starts off of gold camp road. then you turn onto CORD 379
the mu pits where towards the end of CORD 376 on the left side one was at the very end and the other is about 2 miles ahead of it.

and i woulda never went through those pits if owen didnt do it first. cuz i didnt wanna seem like a chickn sh*t

we'll hit more when you get better in the next couple months!

Also...dont live where you wanna work, work where you wanna live! Trust me...how else did i end up here? I got a job at a place in iowa i knew existed in Colorado so i could transfer and move...worked there about 10 months before doing the transfer and here i am!

There we go...its decided lol. You've got plenty of time as well...seems like you're decided on here though so just make sure you keep it that way and dont settle.

I knew ya would be once ya did them lol...i wanted to hit that second pit after i did the one where the rangers were but now i'm glad i didnt because if i hit that one too, i'm sure that woulda stacked against us for the ticket!

Who knew you could mud in the forest when there are obviously mud pits lol

I'll hit as many runs as i can before i break somethin lol...then just have to come up with the money to make it better!

The new cat goes on friday so hopefully that'll get my power back...also gonna work on getting full skids if were gonna go bigger than what we did today because some of those rocks were definitely big and just gonna get bigger lol. Then of course armor such as rails and windshild guards.

I found a nice clean 4.0 motor which i'm also debating because i can get it for 500 bucks with 60k on it from a 2005...but then i'll have to get another new suspension and some new mounts n tranny...

we'll see...

i honestly would go to a 4.0 if i were you. like sure you didnt struggle at all on the hills today but its got alot more power than the 2.5. and why a new suspention, or do you mean like shocks. i dont see why you would need a new lift. and if i were you id switch to an auto. yes some ppl prefer manuals but as you can see on big hills your clutch will take the toll of the rocks and the steep hill.

Id need a new setup to hold the weight of the 4.0...zone has two choices for lift. One for a 2.5 and one for the 4.0, which is why id need a new setup. As for an auto...no way lol. The positives of the manual far outweigh the small negatives offroad. Plus, driving manual is a lot more fun than an auto.

I doubt ill take on the project of doin a motor swap...ill prolly just wait it out and in 2 yrs ill pick up a nice rubicon or somethin

Exactly...

a lot of money for not a lot of gain since the 4.0 only has like 60 hp more than the 2.5

So, thinkin more into it...its not worth doin

some 4.56's or 4.88's would be good though...especially if a buddy will put them in for 100 bucks
