Here's a couple pics of White Rock Lake, which is close to 7000 ft and is a HOOT to get to. in late may/june, lotsa snow on ALL the shady corners and downed trees

A chainsaw is required and "rolling a log" sometimes has to be done, although I haven't for years and you almost NEED two vehicles or winch !!

Driving to my house in April this year

mrcarcrazy- i love your lotus! i have wanted one soooo bad since they first came out. I drive a turbo mr2 and am addicted to the mr setup. Its an entirely different feel. That is of course when im not having a blast driving my jeep that i just got as my daily driver a few months ago. And i have to say. Nothing i have ever driven drives like a jeep....very unique driving characteristics.
Now i need to go somewhere cool so i can add a pic to this thread

Now I'm even more homesick! I was born just outside Saginaw, and fondly remember the ongoing engineering disaster that is the Zilwaukee.

Anyway, I went on a break-in trip to the Whittier Tunnel. It's a one-lane combined railroad and vehicle tunnel that connects the tiny village of Whittier, Alaska to the outside world. Whittier was a former Army base that was mothballed in the 1960s and now just kind of...exists. Sorry for the blurries, the darkness and trying to keep the Jeep in the lane really messed with my shots.

Sweet thread...most of these aren't from my Jeep...cuz I don't have many pics from it. The rest are from my old truck.

Idiot I was following on my way to work one day, driving no faster than 25 in a 55...every time I had a chance to pass, this is what I got...pretty sure he was falling asleep at the wheel.

Pic of my buddy taking photos from his own car... it was for a "How to Identify, Kevin" thread...to which, rule #1 was "Look for the lens."

This is a sign posted by the owner of the field the sign is located in...it's right before you enter the city limits. The city screwed him over bigtime and he had the sign put up with the deal that when the city fixed his fence that they tore down during construction a few years back and then refused to replace...he would remove the sign. They have yet to fix the fence. They did go out there with a cutting torch and illegally tore down the sign...which he then went in with an attorney and told them to put it back up or he was suing the city. So I have another photo taken with him standing there while a city worker (in a city truck) welds the sign back up. LOL

Photo my friend took from my passenger seat last summer of a wallcloud responsible for numerous funnel cloud sightings and tornado warnings...btw...have I ever mentioned I'm also an amateur stormchaser?

Dix...need I say more?

Riced out piece of trash we encountered on our way back from IL a couple years ago...these guys were cruising in the left lane intentionally driving slow and then when people tried to pass on the right, they would turn it into a "race" and block the person from passing. A Honda CR-V tried repeatedly to pass... and they kept blocking it. So I decided to see what my truck would do...had a few mods...it wasn't a speed demon, but with the tuner and a few mods, I knew it should take a stock Cavalier. So I went to pass...the guy punched it...I left him in my dust. BUT...before I did so... I cut over in front of him and let off the gas and kicked on the hazards. But it didn't stop there. I then moved over and let them pass. Then I raced them again...once again beating them. This time I decided to have a little more fun... I once again moved in front of him...and I set my cruise control with my bumper dead even with the front bumper of the semi next to me. And I cruised that way for 5 minutes letting traffic build up behind him.

Once I figured he had enough... I sped up and moved back over, setting my cruise on the speed limit. Guy passed me and they wouldn't even look over as I waved.

Then the CR-V that had repeatedly tried to pass them passed me...I was waiting for her to flip me off and honk for holding her up. She pulls up next to me with a huge grin on her face and gives me a thumbs up before speeding up. It was awesome.

Here's a front shot...I bet this was a wannabe Jeep owner...or he'd owned a Jeep in the past but had to sell it and just refused to give up the dream. LOL

Same trip...this was their actual license plate on their bus...it was awesome!

Taken from the Jeep on another trip...that storm produced rain so hard that I had to use 4wd on the roads. The water was ponding so bad that cars were hydroplaning all over the place.

What I see at work most of the summer...

Lol the caviler thing above is priceless. i swear some caviler owenrs really are stupid theres a kid i know with one whith some very minor work done to it (cams intake exaust piston's) on a non ecotec engione that swears he beats SRT4's eveo's vettes and STI's.

I ran into a kid and his buddy with a civic doing that stuff the other day. I was ion my green fiero with a My8 4 speed transmission and a 3.4L camaro engine with some work done to it (clutch intake lifters and a few more things). they tried that same stuff. driving slow in the slow lane go to pass them they try to race you blah blah blah. He goes to gun it, i drop a gear and blow his doors off. than afterwards i slow down and get the ricer flyby.

Man, so jealous... I hate living in the flat lands of Central Florida. The only mud I get to play in is a puddle on the property owned by the utility company. Looks like I'm going to have to move north a bit to get to the REAL south and get into some good trails.

I love this thread. I don't have any cool picture from behind the windshield of my Jeep.. but this makes me want to take some this weekend.

Will I get cussed out if I put up pictures from the gun turret of a HMMWV? I have lots of those.. I guess I better not.

Thanks, they are unlike anything else...kinda like the Jeep....both vehicles are very unique. And you don't have to drive anywhere cool...just drive and take a picture. Its not a competition, its a compilation.
