I'm Back....I kept an eye out for good places for you guys who love rocks while on my trip. Took some pics for you. (Some of these are taken out of the window while driving through the Wilderness of Judea, I apologize if they are not great quality.)











I only saw ONE wrangler the whole time I was in Israel. It was a red 95 YJ and it was in Tel Aviv. Sweet looking ride.

Glad you are back safely. Kinda makes you wonder what all the fighting is about (looking at the wilderness pics) doesn't it?

Except for up north, around the Sea of Galilee and the upper Jordan River basin, you can go about 10 minutes outside any city / village and be in the wilderness. I never saw so many rocks!!!

Could you explain the last pic? It looks like trees growing on top of really tall pillars. Where in Israel is this and does it have a name?

Edit: BTW - it's a great shot, I'm using it as my wallpaper.

It's a sculpture outside the kubbitz we stayed at. It has about 8 steps up to the three pillars and on top of the pillars there are three olive trees planted. It's by some Israeli sculptor that I never heard of, that goes around planting tree sculptures all over the world. It's just a few hundred meters from the city of Bethlehem. I think they call it the Olive Tree sculpture. ( How original )

You'll notice the picture doesn't have quotes around it. - I took it.
