I love being deployed, don't you? None of the garrison BS to put up with. It's always just me and my spotter. Good times.

Now when you say you miss your .50 cal, you mean the Ma Deuce, right?
And the MK19s are a hoot to shoot as well, huh? Talk about sending some chaos to the enemy!!

Gun Truck duty, QRF teams, Weapons Specailist "armorer", I'm OPS so i'm attached to the army when i deploy "yeah im AF'' I've done everything from convoy's to knocking on doors. Been attached to the 70th, 432nd, and 101st. As far as the armor on the LMTV .....that is a old pic from the OIF=3 deployment back in the day. Hell that was good stuff then, i got pic's of OIF=1 deployment when all the AF convoy gun trucks had was the pedistal in the bed of the 5tons for the heavy guns with "bullet proof plywood''. And no that is not sarcasium it's real... we had plywood boxes in the back of the trucks about 4ft tall.

I remember those days. Armor has come a long ways since '01.
QRF was always fun.....except at 4 am which is when we usually got hit. I'm always in my deepest sleep about then. Once I got the job as Senior Sniper, my days of QRF were done. So were my days of kicking in doors with the added "meet and beat" for fun. Now I stand overwatch on an OP and kill the bad guys from a distance. More fun this way. Always liked being in the thick of things, but it sure is fun throwing lead from a distance of a mile with enough accuracy to take out the throat of a bad guy.....

You obviously know your weapons. Bushmaster .223 w/24in barrel. I hunt paper and I get a kill everytime. Right on the money about the objective. I have seen vids on Youtube showing what a .50 cal does to a human, not much left but I guess that's the point.

Bushmaster makes a good weapon. And they're a blast to shoot. Enjoy....

Hahaha, thats good. I did try and drive mine like that but I didn't have my gas pedal in so I had to pull on the cable while trying to see and steer. After a few tries and some stalling out common sense took over and I pushed it out of the garage.
