So where was this? Nice looking picture. A couple of weeks back I took my GS motorcycle up into some trails part way between Bend and Portland they looked like awesome trails for the jeep as well except the one section that was about six foot wide with avery big sheer drop off the other side. Btw rig looks awesome love the nx top

Thanks! I love the nx top...the hard top was getting too scratched up when I was wheeling with it. That pic was taken on the Rubicon Trail...which is just below Lake Tahoe. Here's a couple more shots from the trail

Here is the section of the trail i was talking about near portland. Super nice area off nf3540 just off 35. Although I suspect alot easier than Rubicon trail

I was on my motorcycle. Mostly fire road style through the woods with some neat view sections. To be honest I don't have a lot to compare it against but I kind of liked the area. It gets up to about 6000 ft or so I was thinking while I was up there I'd like to come back with the jeep. I didn't find any nearby camping though so wasn't sure I could bring the kids. There was one section where you are crossing a scree slope that has a sheer drop and there were stumps and logs that were protruding into the trail. I wasn't sure if it was wide enough to get the jeep through there. It was more challenging than some of the other fire roads I've tried on the jeep but still what I would consider pretty easy

I'll do my part in helping keep this thread alive.

This is from last September when a buddy and I hiked the 13 miles up to Pikes Peak Summit, which sits at an altitude of 14,115 ft. You gain about 7,400 ft. in altitude from base to peak. There is about a 10 degree difference on the cold side from the base to the peak as well. The picture with my buddy is at the top of the mountain. Not for the faint of heart.
