It actually didn't get hit very hard at all. I have seen 2 others do that same exact thing (exact on pass. side) and neither of them where going very fast either. Just a bad design and super cheap materials.

Just remember tho. That's still smittybuilt. It's a different design but same metal used so you never know could be good design but poor metal so it could do the same.

You already have the bumper right? Remember anything if your careless enough can be broken.I have done many hardcore trails with mine and its still intact.

Im the kind of guy that would like to see it happen in person than some wannabe hardcore Jeeper posting pix and claims it happened with little effort.

Won't lie. I was highly debating that. It's a steal at under $400 for winch and plate. I just can't afford a warn or the like. As for bumpers there's plenty of others that are definitely more reliable for the same if not lower price so there I would stray away for sure

That's what I did. There's also this sweet bumper I found online right after I got mine That uses the stock bumper as a base. Wish I waited. But owell. They make it for every version of jeeps. I forgetthe site but google basher bumper and you'll find it.

To my belief. It should just about roll right over the bottom bar. Maybe yes maybe no tho. If not. A little raised bracket and some nice firm grade 8+ bolts and your fine

I forgot to tell you guys that I didn't get a ticket but just a warning. I think it's because he saw my US Army emblem in the back. The first thing he asked me was if I was still in the Army. Then he said "I'm just giving you a warning".

MD requires 2 plates. I got pulled over when I lived there. I pulled it out of the console to show the officer. I then screwed it onto my then stock bumper. I live in GA now, a 1 plate state.

Referencing the conversation about bumpers, I was rearended by a Honda Accord, I think, at a difference of about 30 mph. Not a dent on the bumper what so ever, just scratches. Just above the corner, the rear/corner panel of my Jeep was slightly pushed in where the Accord crumpled over my bumper. The Honda's front passanger bumper was smushed into the tire/wheel/axle and was undrivable...

I'm not saying buy a Warn. I'm just testifying to my experience with them. Personally I also like the low profile look to them, not too beefy.
