Sadly not trail wounds....

Apparently this guy thought he would try to make a left turn at the intersection and beat me.He is lucky because he almost got a jeep t-bone steak. I managed to hit the breaks and avoid him 99.5%. He was nice enough to hit the gas and run from the intersection. My right tire was turned enough to the left that something on his car gouged a hole into the side wall of my good tires. I'm surprised they aren't flat because I can fit my ring finger in it. Wonder how long that will last....

Time for new flares!

Yea, he/she hauled you know what from the scene. It was real nasty and raining so I couldn't get a great look at the make/color of the car. They were turning into the Wal-mart but I doubt they stayed very long.

If only I could afford the luxury of great coverage. This will be coming out of my pocket.

Yea, the area I teach at is a very low income area. I'm just really glad no one was hurt to be honest.

Make sure you file a police report for the Hit & Run, just in case...even if you don't plan on filing any insurance claims.

My friend was hit in a parking lot about a year ago while he was inside the movie theater...truck blasted him and took off witnesses said. The most info they were able to give the police writing the report was that it was a newer, full-size white pickup truck. My friend had his insurance fix his car since he had full coverage and figured they'd never find the guy who did it. A couple months later, he got a call from the police department saying they found the guy who hit his car and they gave him the guy's insurance information and he ended up getting reimbursed for the repairs to his car. The guy decided to take his truck into the body shop claiming he was the victim of a hit & run...but I believe around here all the body shops have a copy of all the hit & run reports or something like that and they contacted the police, the police investigated and found the damage to match my friend's car. Since my friend had filed a report and this guy never did, they ended up charging the guy for leaving the scene of an accident plus making him pay for all the damages.

Sorry bout your luck...

I had metro come out and take a look when I pulled over to look at the damage. I just wish I could have got a better look at the car while I was avoiding hitting him. When we struck each other there was a loud THUNK and it jarred me enough I thought I tore my fender off. Pretty happy when I got out and saw my flare had just exploded.
