Sorry pics aren't better but all I have on 'puter right now. Easy install but paint finish was "iffy"--wire brushed it repainted with Rustoleum and is fine now. Unit is about 5-6 years old.

Smitty rear bumper w/o tire carrier + Bestop tub mounted tire carrier. About $460.00 for both. No rattles, no leverage from big tire on rear of Jeep. One handed operation, opens with tailgate. You could spend a lot more I guess. These work well for me.

Have you towed anything with that bumper? Ive read things saying its not tow rated.

Most aftermarket bumper manufacturers do not put a tow rating on their stuff due to insurance reasons. I do use it though. I picked up the whole rear end of the Jeep with a engine hoist hooked to the hitch a bunch of times to get it on some high jack stands.
I also use it to move my boat around the house to the backyard all the time. It has to go over a big mow strip at the gate and puts some force on it. I have not had any problems. The boat is much too heavy for the Jeep to be pulling down the road though.

Thanks! That helps.

Sorry no pics, but i have the Warn rear bumper and tire carry. It rattles way to much with a 33" tire on it so i removed the tire carry until i figure out a solution, currently the back of my jeep is naked

Here's my refinished Jeeperman bumper / tire carrier. Just got done redoing it. It's the older style and after a couple of Ohio winters it was rusted so badly that when I sent Wayne at Jeeperman a pic, he said it looked like it had been at the bottom of the ocean!

I wirebrushed and sanded it all down, hit it with Chassis Saver, and topcoated with a few good coats of Duplicolor aerosol bedliner to match texture to the other armor on the Jeep.

I also replaced the latch, post, bumpers, autolock mechanism, races, bearings and seals. Oh, and the zerk fitting too.

Do you have a quick run through on how you made it?

Here is a Poison Spyder with a 35" Cooper SST. Picked up on Craigslist for $100. Had to tweak it a bit due to being in wreck on previous owner's rig.

SRC rear bumper bracing

I know these tube rears are not that popular, but I like it. Because I have a 34" HEAVY Maxxis tire and Plan on pulling a small trailer, then I did some extra bracing. Removed all flex and would not be afraid to pull any reasonable trailer with it.
