Just got a message that my new spare cover is here....

Got my Jeep back from the shop & the only damage was the spare cover. Yay Jeep!

My new Black#One

Hi everyone! Just got her on wednesday
No major mods yet. So far: window tint, tail light guards, fuel door, dark charcoal Rubicon decal, removed grill badge, tinted turn signals and side markers.
Monday morning - new black Procomp wheels!

Do you mind telling me how did you get your side marker and turn signals tinted?
I would love to do that to my Sahara.
Thanks.

You can do a quick search for tinted turn signals here and you'll find a ton of information from other guys, but here's what I did:

1. got a set of "Crown" clear turn signals and side markers from 4wd.com

2. bought a can of VHT Nite-Shades, can of Dupli-Color Clear Coat and 3M 2000 grain sand paper, at a local O'Reilly Auto Parts store

3. prepped the lenses (wet sand, clean with alcohol and let dry)

4. put two thin coats of Nite-Shades and five thin coats of Clear Coat

5. let dry for a day and replaced the stock turn signals and side markers. getting to the side markers is a pain, and you might want to buy 4 replacement rivets (part#6506007AA) for your flares, that you need to pull out. Watch this video to get an idea about the process - hint: removing the lightbulb from the side marker before pulling the lense out makes it much easier!

6. sold my stock turn signals and side markers on ebay to get some money back!

If you want you can tint your stock signal lenses, but I really liked the fact that I'm tinting the clear ones, plus they come with yellow lightbulbs, which is recommended with tinted lenses.

Good luck and post pictures when you get it done!

Thanks! Honestly the hardest part is to patiently wait for the paint to dry
Everything else is a piece of cake...

Few night time photos while she's still shiny

Phase 1 complete
All blacked out!
