I have seen some awesome colors for Wranglers on the street and on this site. And there is no discrimination here as you can tell by my sig. But black?!?!?!?!? That color is so simple yet so awesome.
Show everyone your Black Wrangler. And no matter what the color, gender, nationality, age or otherwise....always, always, always....WAVE. Let's see them folks.
2011 70th Anniversary. Still stock, but want to change the wheels, to get rid of the shine. Tint the windows. Black exterior, black interior. I love it.

ill be honest. a bit too much chrome for my taste. please dont get chrome wheels though that would be overkill. A nice set of black rims would go good I think. unk:
Ok, it *was* a little funny. I laughed. I like to think I fancied it up without reducing its abilities (except for the tow hooks which I intend to replace).
Seriously, members are pretty clear on thinking of appearance as worthless. If you can still do it, then why not look good? Not that the stock jeep didn't look really, really good. I wasn't going to do the chrome until I kept seeing stock, black jeeps one after another. I hate being just like everyone else.
I can laugh at myself - and I did laugh when I read your post - but I guess I'm feeling a little insecure over the changes. Guess I better take it offroad and get some pics with mud on it.
I'm like a couple of others here. There are some on this and other Jeep forums that think a Jeep doesn't look good unless it's got flat plain looking black rims, blacked out headlight bezels (or whatever they are called), black everything else, but I like the way I have mine fixed up and I can almost guarantee you that it gets more looks on the street and more complements from strangers than anyone would get if their flat black Jeep was parked next to mine. Lot's of guys like the old saying "Chrome don't get you home", well, "flat black don't get you back" either. I have the black rock crawler bumpers on mine but I have the chrome side steps and the chrome wheels on it and I think it's just enough to set off the black paint.
You are putting out the money on it so build it just the way you like it.
