Thanks mpr. You r right. Thankfully am getting it done now before deer and football season, so that is good. There are really awesome Jeeps on this thread. For me every one of them is sweet, but some are down right sick....sick in a rocking holy smokes type of way. Will post the pics next wknd.

Rock on.

Here's some pics of Black Rose clean & dirtly
The close up is after a bath & wax with the Turtle Wax Black Box.
The other is after a trip to the beach.

I think she looks great both ways.

Notice how clean the top and plastic windows are. Top was down at the beach. I put it all back on to wash her.

I do too. But I didn't want to leave it on too long. Salt water & all. I had to crawl under the Jeep to pull all the seaweed stuck in the undercarriage. It was too fun.

How is that Black box stuff. I was just browsing AZ today and it grabbed my eye.
does it actually do what it says? Actually black wax? First time seeing it today and then someone mentions it-funny how that works

My black wrangler the way I bought it.
Then I painted the rims.
Then I tinted the marker lights.

I like it. The close up a couple of posts back was after I waxed it using the stuff. You can see the reflection of the sky in the hood. And yes, everything's black. The detailing spray, pre-wax stuff (I can't remember what it's called) and the wax is black. They recommend you wear gloves, but I kept sweating & dripping so I didn't use gloves. My right hand fingers were black for a while. i will say this, if you get any on your clothes it washes out. And a bonus is the Hubster won't steal it for his car. His is grey.

It's nothing bad at all and the rest of the Jeep is in awesome shape it only had 18,000 miles on it. But there are scratches into the paint around some edges where the back window and side windows are removed and put back.

I bought two of these Mopar lacquer touch up paint markers on Quadratec that are supposed to match the paint on my JK. I am hesitant to use it though. Guess I will start with a small scratch that is high near where it's covered when the windows are in and go from there. Interested to hear if anyone has tried them....
mine does. even though the previous owner took really great care of it, there are some more noticeable scratches on it around the windows, near the top. there is also a 'ding' in the front passenger side door. the ones near/around the windows are the areas that my hubby plans on using the clay bar.

but for the deeper scratch on the door he bought this in universal black. hasn't gotten to that yet though
