I have seen some awesome colors for Wranglers on the street and on this site. And there is no discrimination here as you can tell by my sig. But black?!?!?!?!? That color is so simple yet so awesome.

Show everyone your Black Wrangler. And no matter what the color, gender, nationality, age or otherwise....always, always, always....WAVE. Let's see them folks.

Rock on.

If I offended you, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insinuate that you don't take care of your vehicles. I think what helps is that the girl that had my Jeep before me evidently took very good care of her and hardly drove her. We'll see how she holds up with me driving her. I wash her once every month or two at the pay & spray. I started using Turtle Wax Black Box. It's specifically for black vehicles. It's a multiple step process, but that's ok with me. I call it my "me" time. I do all applications by hand. Takes a while. I've had no swirl marks yet. Thinking of buying a buffer to speed up the process and see if it leaves swirl marks.

For all the plastic parts, I use 303. Love that stuff. Use it on the soft top as well. When I do, it looks brand new.
303, What is it?

Same here, like Shell. The PO of my 07 must of took really good care of it. The only blemishes are on the hinges, little bubbled and looks like they were touched up. I never saw a used black vehicles paint as nice as mine... Ever :)

303 Aerospace protectant. You can use if for everything from the soft top, door handles, bumpers, fenders, hood latches, dash, anything plastic. It's a UV protectant. I got a spray bottle of it from my local 4 Wheel Parts. I think you can order it from Quadratec. You can probably get other places, too. It keeps those parts looking good for a long time. I use quite a bit of it each time I wash it. I'm probably going to have to get a new bottle soon. But it's well worth it.

On a side note...did you get your doors off?

I had them off last weekend. I had no problems taking them off. It was fun, wish I had a soft top though. little strange doorless along with just the freedom panels off. I'm trying to hold off on a top till next spring. Would like to find one cheap considering I spent $650 for one for my Tj 2 months ago :(
Kinda having topless withdrawals especially with my new(er) jeep :)

What Do You Do?!?!?!

Ok folks, I dropped Tigger off this morning for the upgrade build. I have an issue though. It is supposed to be a 3 day install, meaning done on Monday (4WD here is closed Sundays).

I travel every week out of town for work, meaning I won't be able to pick it up until next Friday!!!! Even worse the shop is going to send pix throughout to rub it in!

So what do I do for the next 7 days? Drink heavily? Work 15 hour days to keep my focus on other things? Pain killers of some sort? Sleep will probably be scarce I imagine. A lot of answers for a lot of things on this great site....but what would you do for this?

Being a consultant myself, this will definitely do the trick (and is probably standard.) It will be Friday morning before you know it. Can't wait to catch the after pics!

Great lookin' rigs in this thread!:punk:

These are my two girls, the little one is 5 and about 3.5 feet tall and the big black one is about 6-7 feet tall sitting on 33's which it looks like a shackle lift that the PO put on. But I'm getting ready to put a 3.5-4 inch lift on her. And a posi-lok system on it to get rid of the stupid vacuum lines that don't work anyways.

Keep the pix coming people. I know there are plenty more Black Wranglers out there. Here is the before of Tigger with 33" mickey atz's with a 2.25" procomp lift, and the In-Process shot which is rather disturbing. Hopefully Tigger will be ok....

Here is my Black Wrangler with HighRock retractable steps installed and 2 pair of grab handles on the cage.
Took the hard top off and put the freedom rag top on today and removed the back seat. Still need to put a new front bumper on.

Edit: I'm not going down hill,, the IPhone just uploaded it that way. :(

I haven't noticed any on those spots. I'll have to look tomorrow. But I've taken my windows off lots of times. I guess I wasn't paying attention. But wow! Only 18000 miles?!

Yeah lucky. I decided last year that I wanted a Black Jeep JK. Wasn't gonna buy one new. Didn't feel like shopping hardcore at that point. One Saturday am driving home from the Harris Teeter grocery store here and sure enough pulled up to a stop light next to a lady in her JK going to the country club. I remember the moment exactly. I said as I was pulling up, wow that is exactly what I am talking about.

Did a double take, and noticed she had a for sale sign in the window. Honked the horn and scared her half to death. Followed her to the club, we talked for a few minutes.....wrote them a check the next day. And here we are. Life changing day. Haven't been the same since. That just doesn't happen, you have to pull the trigger.

Here's some pics of Black Rose clean & dirtly:D
The close up is after a bath & wax with the Turtle Wax Black Box.
The other is after a trip to the beach.

I think she looks great both ways.

Niccceee lol.

How is that Black box stuff. I was just browsing AZ today and it grabbed my eye.
does it actually do what it says? Actually black wax? First time seeing it today and then someone mentions it-funny how that works :)

I like it. The close up a couple of posts back was after I waxed it using the stuff. You can see the reflection of the sky in the hood. And yes, everything's black. The detailing spray, pre-wax stuff (I can't remember what it's called) and the wax is black. They recommend you wear gloves, but I kept sweating & dripping so I didn't use gloves. My right hand fingers were black for a while. i will say this, if you get any on your clothes it washes out. And a bonus is the Hubster won't steal it for his car. His is grey.
