In the good ol days we said my Jeep is red. Heck they even leave out the word Jeep and just say here is my Crush. Oh well, we all can't be as cool as them I guess.

Jealous? Huh?

Because I don't act like a hipster wannabe?

I drive a Jeep, not a color...

No he makes a great point. There are quite a few people on this forum who are a bit snobbish about what color or trim they have on there wrangler.

And implying that someone is jealous implys you think you have something special that people should be jealous about. Not saying that is what you ment but there is a lot of that crap going on in this forum lately.

If I said I drive a "black" it might not sound right. It works better for the wild colors lol

More folks are buying the color.
2 of my jeeps were previously owned and my Tj was a lot jeep that I liked [new]
Color has never really been a selling point for me, but is for many.

Who cares? Let people have fun with it, that's the whole point of a Wrangler in the first place.

Picked mine up 4/20, out in the desert. 4/27. Love the color, and so does everyone else who's seen it.

dwinterb that is a great looking Jeep. I've also got a new Rock Lobster Unlimited and am considering the lift/bigger wheels/tires etc. What size/brand lift/wheels/tires are you running?....that stance is just perfect !

Sent in a PM, but didn't realize you asked here too so I'll reply so everyone can have the info:

After a long long long time researching and debating (I ordered mine from the factory), I went with 285/70r17 duratracs on silver aev pintlers. No lift, budget boost or level kit. I get the tiniest bit of fender rubbing in the front left when fully flexed and in reverse but if you only plan on doing easy to moderate trails you'd be fine.

I have yet to Procal it, that'll happen this week, but 33" isn't so big that the auto tranny has any real problems, especially since the Pintlers and Duratracs are pretty light and so is my Jeep (1/2 doors, soft top, cloth, etc). Procal should just smooth out the shift points, hopefully 3-4 since that seems to be the trickiest one.

Here's my wife's daily driver. Have owned it about 90 days now. We have owned 3 flame red vehicles in the last 15 years and really fell in love with the Rock Lobster Red. Almost every time we park someone is asking us about the color.

The entire 2014 thread is about colors.

Anyways, why does everyone care so much about other peoples preferences?
Who cares if someone buys a jeep for the looks, or for the offroad capabilities, or because they think they can get laid?

The majority of Jeep owners will never lift their Jeeps, will never put bigger tires on them, and might take them to a beach 2-3 times in 5 years. At least that is the case in Massachusetts. For every lifted Jeep I see, I see 30 more that are completly stock.

Well, this IS the JK forum and a JK IS a Jeep and this thread IS about a specific color which is new so, it's kinda stupid to say "This is my Jeep Wrangler JK with a reddish color known as Rock Lobster". If referring to ones Jeep according to it's color, in a thread about THAT color, is so off putting to you, why the heck are you posting in the thread in the first place and adding veiled insults to boot? You're right, that isn't cool.

Neve thought it looked Pink, but did think it was a little Orange. Glad they discontinued the color so it is more unique. It's gotten me out of two speeding tickets because the Troopers wanted to talk Jeep colors.
