Just started this a few days ago. It's my biggest piece so far, I was bummed to not get it finished in one setting but he had another appointment after me. Boo! Anywho, it's Marie Laveau the voodoo queen of Louisiana.

Just an FYI, it's kinda expensive but the best lotion I've found for color tattoos after they heal is called "sympathy for the skin" from lush cosmetics.

The best healing lotion that I use and most of the shops I've been tatted at is Aquaphor. I've used all the other ones and Aquaphor for the first few days seems to really hold color and heal well.

K, is it an all around good lotion after it heals to help keep the color?

No just the first three days and you are golden and can switch to unscented Lubriderm. It's a perfect combo and what the places recommend. I did that with my right arm that is fully sleeved two years ago and they still hold all color. Alot of these lotions aimed just at tatts suck...I did the ocean potion on a few and the color is more faded.

The aquaphor is great WHILE its healing. The stuff from Lush is awesome for maintaining and popping out your color after its healed

Btw the lush stuff is vegan I think and it isn't "aimed" at tattoos it's just a perk that it works SO well at keeping your color looking great

Aquaphor and lubiderm x's 546

That's what I use. And after its healed I just use my regular lotions and try to stay out of direct sun without sunblock. I have no issues.

Yea, the sun burn got me last year. My half sleeve needs to have the color redone and my others are getting there.
