I like mine where it is. When I have the top off the jeep, I put my hair up and most of my shirts are low enough that it shows. It's a neat conversation starter. The only ones that don't know what it is are Not Jeepers. They all think its a bar code or something. I just laugh.

Isn't Oliver Pecks shop in DFW???? I am sure he has talent in his shop or they would be @ LA Ink.....

Yes! Both of these are similar to what I had in mind ... really hoping what I currently have can be worked into an awesome cover-up; I know cover-ups have severe limitations. The current tattoo is on the inside of my wrist, close to the bottom of my hand and goes up about 2.5" but my wrist isn't very wide so I'm not sure how it will work.

Welp, I'm kinda bummed, the compass idea won't work at all with the crap tattoo I want covered. Sooooo, I'm going for another traditional style tattoo of a Sailor Jerry rose/butterfly combo for my mom. Appt. is tomorrow evening with Little Linda (Little Linda), can't wait!

Little linda does excellent traditional style tattooing. If that's the style you like? I would be confident going their.

I have three Sailor Jerry tatts from Shorty at Outer Limitd in Costa Mesa....I have a huge hula girl and an old pirate ship...I was opposed to it at first but they look amazing. I wanted one covered but it was all black so she was good at blending the new ones into the old one to pull away from it...you could maybe do that??

I love it, and she did mention that's the only style she does, so I'm looking forward to seeing the design. I have a SJ swallow on my back that's holding a ribbon with 2 hearts in it's mouth, for each of my kids.

I don't think that would work either, unfortunately. What I have now is a crappy free-hand line drawing (in black, naturally ... worst color if you ever want it covered ) of what was the artist's interpretation of the North Star. I take responsibility (I wanted a tattoo of Polaris or a compass rose, because they both represent the same idea, to me) because I should've stopped her, but I kept thinking it was going to get better, haha. What's done is done, live and learn, right?

I love the traditional style, and a rose/butterfly combo would be great since my mom's name is Rosa, and she loves butterflies. I'm also going to get the traditional banner at the bottom, with the Norwegian word for "mother" (my mom is from Norway) instead of going with just "Mom" that's on the design.

She really did an amazing job, especially considering what she had to cover. I definitely recommend Linda to anyone wanting traditional work in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

Thanks all, I am really happy with it. And yes! It was actually the most painful one I've gotten, so far. Kept me up most of the night, I was kinda surprised.

Her after-care instructions only say to wash with anti-bac soap/water 3-5 times a day, then after 2nd day to start applying thin layer of unscented lotion daily. I've only used Aquaphor in the past, and it has worked well for me, so think I'll just stick with that.

Good plan. Regular lotion would sting like hell that early!
