Temecula Spring Rod Run '09

Oh man... What a great morning tiny and I had looking at the old cars!
But, there weren't only street rods there...

Check out these Jeeps!

Here's a really nice Blazer

Hell, there was even a conveyance that offered Off-roading with style, grace and comfort!

There was also a plethora of antique cars and street rods.

I myself am an old Ford fan.

I had a 64 Fairlane just like this one:

And, I learned to drive a 4spd on a 64 Falcon Convertible just like this one:

If I ever get the chance to get my hands on another old Ford, I think I'd give up my boys to do it!

Was that silver jeep an actual production jeep? Forgive me for being young.

It was amazing seeing all those old cars. There was even an 1973 Maverick. I learned to drive on a 1974 Mav and I don't remember it being that bitchin' cool. .... but it did go 102 with that V8 (started shimmying at about 60).

Those are sweet old school wheelers. Joe is doing a frame off of a 47 Willy's with a Kenne Bell built 225 Odd fire in it. All it's going to do is shows like that. Sweet build.

Thanks for posting those pics brotha.

Cain was like a kid walking through old town looking at all those cars. I've never know anyone who could speak to the elements between years of each car. This one had chrome here this year and not the next, this year had three tails lights, this model came with this or that. Every car, every truck. This is fiber glass, this is chopped, these fenders are wider than they should be.... we need an old car in the garage now.

Well, what can I say? I grew up in and around old cars. I cut my teeth on mid-sixties Fords. There is a feeling you get behind the wheel of an old car that you can not get anywhere else. And yes, despite the look of my Jeep, I actually do love chrome and shiny paint!
