You could also go with mirrors permanently mounted on side of the the window frame, unless they're not available for JKs yet.
And I never really paid attention to how silly Jeeps looks with the top down and fully hard doors on.
Looks great with all four doors off!

Jeep looks great. Safari Straps are another solution. They're the ones I'm gonna get with my pennies....

So if it is not legal here in Calif. to go doorless, how are you doing it? Am I missing something?

Adding mirrors makes you legal.

It is legal as I think jeep considers the doors as optional equipment so you can go without. You just need the mirrors mounted to the body.

When we pull the doors off, we use the SS Jeep mirrors that fit into the door pin holes. They tighten up very well. Do get a lot of vibration, but at least we are legal. Love having the top down and the doors off.

I bought an extra set of mirrors to put on the brackets, that way swapping back and forth is not such a pain. Harley mirrors were not an option because we have a set of safari doors we run with the doors off.

I love the 4dr Rubi look.
Topless and doorless, they look remarkably... HALO-ish.
If you play Halo, you know what I mean.
Meanwhile, back in "reality", they seem to be the perfect blend of my Suburban (which I drive like a jeep) and my TJ (which I load like a suburban).
Soooo.... I think I see a JK in my near future.
Thanks for sharing your joy....and nudging me that much closing to merging my two war-horses.
