Good eye, it was 26. We have vouchers that you can sign up for in CT. Between 22-27 only with a voucher. DEP was right there to stamp it for me

No trophies, never take pictures, we fish out of a canoe in small Glacier carved lakes in northern Wisconsin. Down old logging roads. Crappies, Blue Gill, Perch, Large Mouth Bass, have even been pulled by Northern Pike in the canoe. Nothing better.

80lb test and a 12ft steel wire leader. Could likely get away with 65lb test but I never know what's on the bottom. Fish run straight down and if there's a shelf it eats right through the line.

What kind of rod/reel setup do use? Also, do you use a yak to get your bait out?

Penn senator 4/0. I use a yak to pull the line about 350 yes off the beach. A buddy sits on the beach and keeps tension on the line so it won't foul on the way out. Then I paddle in, open a beer and fire up the grill until the fun starts.

Sounds like a good time. Biggest I pulled in was a 3-4' hammerhead, but I wasn't looking to catch her Surprised she didn't cut the line. What beach do you guys fish off of?

My daughter wanted to go fishing with me this morning so I was super stoked. Not only did we catch a mess of fish, but she out-fished me. One of the best fishing trips ever. Here she is with her first sheephead

Indeed. I usually hit Vilano mostly for unlimited beach access, but Guana & Matanzas are great too. Hit me up sometime if you're planning to make a trip over.

Starting in early April I hit the CT River hard for shad, this was a 5 lb roe about the 3rd week.
Opening day of the traditional fishing season I managed this little trout.
Last week on a buddy's boat we took a few Scup.
