Here's a pic from a couple years ago I found. Caught a snook while dock fishing. I might take the boat out tomorrow or the next day so hopefully I have some more pics soon.

It'll be 9 years next month from when I made this catch. Caught 3 snook to 10 pounds that day. First and only time I caught snook. Heading down to the timeshare next month so hopefully they'll want to play

Trouts back in here in 2 weeks... prepare to be bombarded. It's also finally warming up and summer is around the bend, so should be doing lots of fishing and jeeping, naturally.

Pulled in a nice slot red & pomp. Had a good drum, but he came unglued before I got him on the beach. Slow bite, but a good day.

I usually never fish below a spillway, but recently several friends have and had gotten nice stripers. So I decided to give it a try and have ended up going great!

Waters still a little too cold to get bass out front here if history holds true. Hitting the bay side and river in the next 30 min or so. Hopefully I'll have a pic or 2 to share with y'all before first light.

Captiva. Last night was epic. Tonight is absolutely dead. I've been looking at trout, snook, and a Goliath all night and it seems as if nothing is feeding sans the catfish

Last day of my trip and I just couldn't pull it together. Lost 3 fish at the leader trying to get a net in. First one was a spotted seatrout that would have tipped the scales at over 10lbs easily, the next cast I brought a redfish in, prob in the 15-18lb class, and finally the 20+ pound snook came out to play. Lost all three right at the net. First thing I do when I get back home is invest in a gaff lol

Well, I'm back in NJ unfortunately but at least the striper bite is good. This one from today weighed in at 13.60 pounds and was 32.5 inches

I was only able to sneak away for a few days this time. I got back to NJ on April 30. We had a great trip, especially for solely fishing off the dock with the tackle that we had with us. I'm fixing to fish SE FL and the keys in July. My next trip to the gulf will probably be next June.

I think I forgot to put up yesterday's bass... Took a bunker chunk. Here it is:

Unfortunately no pics from today; wading waste deep in the bay and didn't want to risk my phone, but we put a hurting on the bluefish. All top water with relatively light tackle. Fish were in the 4-6 pound class, nothing too special, but watching them slam poppers and jump in the shallows is always a spectacular sight. Loosened up the drag on my VS150 and had an absolute blast with them

Went down to Anastasia park. Lot of fish with incoming tide, but I released for another day. Had a nice drum too.

After dealing with the skates and the dogfish, I got my personal best striper last night. It tangled my other bait rod during the fight causing braid on braid friction, and when I went for the capture, the leader snapped when I grabbed it. I threw my rod, jumped on the fish, and wrestled it to the dry sand. Then proceeded to break a hinge on my cooler cause the fish was way too big for it. I couldn't put the cooler in the rack because the fish was sticking out and with the other crap in there, I couldn't lift it high enough to get it in the back seat so the cooler went in the passenger seat. On the ride back until some other anglers helped me get it in the back seat, I had to keep inward pressure on it so it didn't go out where the door area and I kept getting slapped in the face by the tail with each and every bump. Since I didn't take the time to untangle my lines, it looked like I had an Indian dream catcher in front of my jeep. The bass hit the scale at 41.20 pounds and was 47"

Thanks everyone. Hopefully she holds on to win the week in the tournament. They haven't updated the results yet so we'll see.

I went out the other night as well but no luck. Conditions look great for tonight so I'll be back on the beach this evening
