Also, if anyone can post a pic with their fish and their jeep, there is a challenge in the wrangler forum picture challenge for that right now! (started by me)

Last night did some creek fishing, brought in 8 fish, three Striped Bass, 4 Smallmouth and a Sogeye, or walleye, soger combo.

Heres the sog. Nothing huge, catch and release is the name of the game.

I don't think I have ever seen soger/sogeye. cool I catch and release out at the lake ususally and sometimes for trout, but I haven't had any since like last year so. I had a 14 inch brown the other day, pretty decent fish.

Spose it's a given that I am a fisherman.. lol

Here's a few photos of our Ozarks stream fish..

Here's my first Brook trout I caught in the Lake of the Ozarks, he was a hatchery escapee:

Winter Smallie:

The Whites occupy our thoughts and fly lines in the spring and fall:

Fishing spawn water, you just never know what might hit the fly:

But the weather is very volatile, so make sure you can make it back to the truck when you see this crop up on the horizon:

I usually don't fish on the open lake, I prefer the solitude of the streams..

Even if the day doesn't produce a lunker, the streams around here are well worth the effort:

All of these are from the past two years or so, there's plenty more where than came from!

Fishin cricket, awesome pics...those are beauties. When you trout fish do you use live bait or jig?

Lately ive been getting really lucky on powerbait, then again I've also been hitting a trout management river so guessing the color they fed them was tedious.

Now here's a thread I can get behind. I try to get down to the beach least once a week. Mostly I catch whiting & blues, but I also get some nice reds, pomps, & sheepshead.

I normally fish artificial lures exclusively, more and more I've been taking the fly rod, especially when trout fishing.

We eat what we catch, and if we are slaying them then we release or in the case of that night, we caught them during a feeding blitz...didn't have enough time to rebate and rods were popping, we donate to a shelter
