we use one on our german shepherd, works great. she has gotten so good about not pulling that she normally doesnt even need it on any more

they dont hurt the dog. they just become uncomfortable when they pull. but its not like painful. another thing you can try is a halter collar(i think thats what its called) it has a strap that goes over the dogs nose, and when they pull, it presses down on their nose and also makes pulling uncomfortable. we used those on our bernese mountain dogs and they also work very well

This is Mickey. I refer to his prong collar as "power steering". Prong collars are recommended for dogs prone to having cervical issues.
