Hi all. I just recently got my first Jeep, and I am new to wranglerforum. I have been lurking for a while, even before I got the Jeep, and have really enjoyed this thread. In fact I bought the Jeep just to participate.
I have a question though. How does the monthly challenge work? If I can get a picture I feel meets the challenge do I post it any time and say its for the monthly challenge? Or should I get the pic and wait till later in the month to post it?
You can post a pic anytime, I'd appreciate it if you labeled it though. The monthly challenge runs all month, so you can post as many different pics for it as you can come up with. So this month, post a pic of your Jeep by as many beat up Jeeps as you can, and you might win a shirt and a chance to pick next months challenge. The open, normal, and temp challenges run for their set amount of time, and whoever completes them names the new one. Let me know if you have any questions.
Pic of your Jeep by the most beat up Jeep you can find that still runs. We're looking for scratches, dents, rust, abuse, rolled over and left for dead, but STILL RUNNING. Let's see just how tough they are. We'll vote for the winner at the end of the month/start of next. Winner gets a T-Shirt and picks next monthly challenge.
Open Challenge (runs until completed) - Pic of your Jeep with a "monkey bike". Example: Suzuki RV90.
Normal Challenge (runs for 48 hrs) - CURRENTLY EXPIRED. Who wants to pick a new one?
Temp Challenge (runs for 24 hrs) - Pic of your Jeep on a late night ice cream run, must have your Jeep and ice cream in the pic. ***Expires 8/11 at 12:26 AM ET***
You must complete a challenge or be the first to post a new one after one expires (please label which challenge it is!) to make a new challenge. I usually give them a little extra time then announce them as expired.
You have two hours after completing a challenge to post your new one. This should be enough for you to get home, work, back in cell service, or just to think something up. After that, we'll treat it like an expired challenge.
Yeah they were gas savers. I had a girlfriend with one. It was a convertible and I looked like a monkey effin a football when I was in it. I was 6'3" and 250 in college when she had that car. My head was taller than the windshield if I sat up straight in the seat. I had to lean it back to keep from getting hit with bugs. It was still fun to drive though. Kinda like an EZ GO golf cart.
Tell them the Cowboys are coming and Hell is coming with them........... GO POKES!!!!
